Killer Is Dead split opinion right up the middle (with a great big cel shaded katana), but we can all agree that £4.55 is a smart bargain for the PC version. Click here to buy this cheap Killer Is Dead PC deal.

Make sure to click here and read our Killer Is Dead review before checking around for more, since most of my peers actively disliked the game. You should also be advised that the PC version seems to hate dual-cores, according to user reviews. In good news, the Nightmare Edition contains extra content and a harder difficulty setting versus the original release.

Killer is Dead £6.50 on 360 at Game Collection

Killer is Dead | Game Collection | £6.50 | Review

Try not to let Suda 51's past drivel put you off this stylishly beautiful slash 'em up brawler. Sure there are some embarrassing gigolo missions to get through, but the rest of the game is one of the best in the blood-soaked genre. It'll certainly fill the void left from when the Ninja Gaiden series descended into absolute bollocks.

Thanks to BuzzDuraband at HotUkDeals.

Killer is Dead | £8.03 | GAME | Review

Gloriously slick and stylish, Suda51's Killer is Dead is certainly a striking little action title. The Gigolo Missions are desperately awful, but as Jon said in his review, "when all is said and done, though, they're just an embarrassing footnote in an otherwise exceptional experience, and a game that puts Suda51 back on form as master of substance and style."

Now only £8.03 over at GAME, if you're a fan of Grasshopper's early work, make sure you snap this up. It's a steal for well under a tenner.

Great spot by oUkTuRkEyIII.

Killer Is Dead Review | Style Is Substance

Platforms: PS3 | Xbox 360 (reviewed)

Developer: Grasshopper Manufacture

Publisher: Deep Silver

Killer Is Dead hits our retinas like a neon Picasso wrapped around the business end of a sledgehammer. No-one can accuse Goichi "Suda51" Suda of being anything less than a recklessly imaginative artist, and here he's painted what is quite possibly the most gorgeous ultraviolent brawler on the market. Exquisite cel-shaded visuals gel perfectly with insane themes and bizarre distractions, not limited to chasing a tiger-riding crime boss on a motorcycle and seducing nubile débutantes in 'Gigolo Missions.' While jazz music plays in the background. On the moon.

Sometimes, however, mediocre games can sneak past undercooked mechanics and half-baked ideas behind sensational visuals. I could certainly name one or two. It's all too easy for games to trick us into believing that retinal stimulation is the same as genuine innovation, so we were delighted to discover that we were given nearly a whole month to see past the stunning good looks.

Killer Is Dead is not one of those games. Suda51's latest effort harks back to the likes of Killer7 and No More Heroes, delivering both sensational style and undeniable substance.

Gorgeous Killer Is Dead Screenshots Hype Next Week's Release

Killer Is Dead releases next Friday in Europe, so rather than vainly trying to describe it, I'll let these screenshots do the talking. Goichi Suda's latest brawler is sensationally stylish, and frankly makes most other games look like wallpaper paste.

We'll have an exhaustive review for you on Tuesday (the American release date), but before you start to worry, review copies were dispatched the best part of a month ago. Deep Silver have nothing to hide, rather they want to make sure that coverage doesn't get swallowed up by Gamescom 2013.

New Killer Is Dead Trailer Is Also Bizarre Japanese Metal Music Video

Is there any point trying to explain Killer Is Dead trailers? At all? Suda51's latest game is doing its damndest to make as little sense as possible, as evidenced by this latest trailer that's half gameplay footage and half music video from Japanese metal outfit Jesse & The Bones.

Basic premise: you're an epic hitman who moonlights as a gigolo, with an artificial gun arm, who sometimes goes to the moon for reasons. It's out on August 30th for PS3 and Xbox 360.

New Killer Is Dead Trailer Is Painful To Watch

The latest Killer Is Dead trailer resembles a brainwashing device; flashing unpleasantly between numerous extremely fast cuts and odd lines of text while Chopin plays in the background. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Killer Is Dead releases in August on PS3 and Xbox 360, boasting slick combat, a gorgeous cel-shaded art style and what appears to be incredibly tasteless gigolo missions.

Killer Is Dead Gameplay Footage Shows Insane Combat, Tiger Bike Fights & Worrying Gigolo Missions

Suda 51's Killer Is Dead has revealed more of its secrets thanks to two new gameplay videos captured by Famitsu Magazine [via Gematsu]. The first clip shows off some tight, colourful and furiously-paced combat that looks to be incredibly involving, along with a bike chase against a massive transforming tiger.

The second video, however, sheds some more light on the 'Gigolo Missions' that our protagonist Mondo Zappa will find himself pursuing from time to time. It's... a bit sleazy, to put things as mildly as possible. With luck, these sections will provide a meaningful gameplay experience that makes sense in context. Maybe?

See what you make of Killer Is Dead ahead of its August launch.

Killer Is Dead Trailer Is Pervy, Sleazy, Jazzy

This latest jazzy trailer for Killer Is Dead shows us some of the "lovely ladies" who task hitman Mondo Zappa with all manner of assassinations. They'll get a discount of course, for the bargain price of a smooch... right before Mondo uses 'Gigolo Glasses' to look at their lingerie. Then he goes to the moon, because this is a Goichi Suda game and nothing has to make sense.

Oh, come on Suda. More gameplay, less potentially offensive cheesecake next time please. Killer Is Dead is out in August on PS3 and Xbox 360, and it's set to be bonkers - though we hope that all of this embarrassing titillation actually adds something to the experience beyond tawdry sex appeal.

Killer Is Dead Reveal Trailer Gets An English Dub

Killer Is Dead is still looking gorgeous, though admittedly, this latest trailer is just January's reveal video with an English dub. Still, hyped as we are for Goichi Suda's next game, we'll take it. Deep Silver are handling EU publishing duty, ahead of this summer's expected release on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Note that both English audio and Japanese audio with English subtitles will be available. I personally favour the latter.

XSEED Distance Themselves From Killer Is Dead

Following speculation that XSEED might be publishing Grasshopper Manufacture's Killer Is Dead, in the wake of the US publisher registering domain names that seemed to pertain to the game in question, XSEED have moved to distance themselves from such a notion.

XSEED File Killer Is Dead Domain Names

Will Grasshopper's Killer Is Dead be crossing the Pacific? Maybe, at least if this latest development is anything to go by. Some domain registrations rooted out by Superannuation have pointed towards the possibility of XSEED as a North American publisher for the game, having recently registered the domain name killerisdead-game, alongside sites killandlove.com and
loveandkill.com.

Naturally, all of our extremities are feverishly crossed.

Suda51 Lifts The Lid On Killer Is Dead Details

Says You'll Fight A Yakuza Member Riding A Tiger

If I had a brainwave every time I sat down on the loo, I'd almost certainly be a trillionaire by now.  But Suda51's creative eureka moments yield the weird, the onderful, and the downright batty.

Talking to Famitsu about the latest instalment in the loosely-collected 'assassins' series - Killer Is Dead - Suda lifted the lid on a few extra details about Grasshopper's upcoming carve-em-up, with one such revelatory vignette having central character Mondo sat on a motorbike, facing off against a Yakuza boss riding a tiger.

It's over the top, almost ridiculously violent, the opening scenes of this new trailer made us blush with its sexiness, but there's something utterly captivating about Grasshopper's aesthetics when they're on form. The gorgeous cel-shaded art, the fantastic music. We dropped jaws at the screenshots, and changed underwear at the initial announcement, and now Famitsu have graced us all with a trailer.

Put it right in your face.
