Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is just £1.00 on Xbox 360 - if you can find it!

Think fast, cross your fingers and hope for the best! Smyths Toys are currently selling Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved for £1.00.

The caveat, of course, is that they're selling out at a rate of knots, plus you can only click and collect. Only a handful of stores are still offering the deal, but if you're lucky, you might walk away with an absolute bargain. You can check your local store's stock through the link.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is a fantastic idea that turns you into a full-body conductor with the power of your Kinect Sensor, allowing you to create and share crazy remixes on the fly. However, in gameplay terms it boils down to flailing your arms around in front of the telly like a drunk hailing a cab. Here's our review.

Dance Central Spotlight is only £0.99 on Xbox One.

Use the Facebook voucher code - link at the top of the store page. Thanks again FantasyDeals!

Dance Central Spotlight is one of the few Xbox One Kinect games that actually works, and one of the tiny number that work brilliantly. Come on, we're talking about Harmonix here. They've done the business with great graphics and highly sensitive yet forgiving body sensing, which is ludicrously cheap for a quid. If you were suckered into buying a Kinect sensor, make it earn its keep.

I was deeply conflicted in our full review, but in fairness, I should also point out that I've probably awarded it the lowest score on the internet. Definitely download the demo and try it out for yourself! This great price undercuts even Smyths, except you'll also get free delivery rather than having to collect in store. Nice one Turkey!

Fable: The Journey on Xbox 360 is just £2.95

Fable: The Journey on Xbox 360 (Kinect Required) is currently £2.95 from The Game Collection - Click here to buy >>

Still got a X360 with a Kinect and looking to get a little extra use out of it? Well for £3 you can get hold of this entry in the Fable series from The Game Collection, saving you around the same amount over the next cheapest deal. The Journey manages to make the world of Albion a much more engaging place to visit, but the terrible aiming mechanics (and the certainty it will destroy your arm muscles) hamper the experience. Still, for under £3 it could be a good reason to return to the Fable franchise, or dust off that Kinect sensor. Thanks to oUkTuRkEyIII @ HUKD!

A cracking price for a surprisingly entertaining little blend of decent simulation and Kinect-based minigame awesomeness. Monkeying around with the chimps is easily one of the highlights, and it's a great deal if you've already got an Xbox One with Kinect. Make sure you use the FB voucher to get it at this price, though.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved Review | Kinect Semaphore Hero

Platforms: Xbox One (reviewed) | Xbox 360

Developer: Harmonix

Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios

I genuinely love my Kinect sensor and the musical legends at Harmonix, but I think they might have missed the point here.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band make you feel like a rock god, whether you're shredding on a plastic guitar, smashing the drums, laying down a bass line or howling into a microphone. Rocksmith literally teaches you how to play a six-string, much like Dance Central teaches you a selection of hilarious dance moves. Child Of Eden makes you feel like a transcendent electric death machine. You're only stood in front of a telly with a plastic peripheral or Kinect sensor, but the physical movements feel empowering and rewarding in and of themselves.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved Review | Kinect Semaphore Hero

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is supposed to turn you into the Sorcerer's Apprentice and grant you dominion over music itself... but playing it feels like directing traffic at a busy intersection. Or attempting to guide a light aircraft in to land in your living room. You're just waving your arms about in time to music, more like a weather reporter in front of a greenscreen than a magical orchestra conductor.

It's a shame, because Disney Fantasia is otherwise one of the most fascinating and unique projects ever developed for the Kinect sensor, letting you create crazy remixes out of classic and current music.

Fable: The Journey didn't exactly set the world on fire at release, but if you fancy dusting off your Kinect for the bargain price of £3.85, you could do a lot worse. Saving you a few quid over the next best offer, this makes for a nice little early stocking filler for anyone wanting a bit of motion-controlled spell-casting.

INTERVIEW | Can Shape Up make fitness fun on Xbox One?

Despite being a superb physical specimen myself, thanks to years of training by the biggest names in the business (Fray Bentos, Colonel Sanders, all the greats), I'm always looking for new ways to get fit. Specifically, ways that are actually fun. Shape Up seemed to be the answer when Ubisoft announced it at E3 2014: a lighthearted and very 'gamey' collection of crazy activities with RPG-style progression designed to keep you engaged while burning calories. Xbox One's Kinect sensor ought to be a perfect fit.

So when Gamescom rolled around Matt told me to get plenty of footage of myself... well, rolling around. Unfortunately, live code being a tricky beast, the software was unfortunately bricked.

Never mind, though, because I quickly grabbed Shape Up creative director Charles Huteau for an interview about the game, and what the team thinks about Microsoft's Xbox One U-turn.

Kinect Star Wars | Sainsburys | £7.99 | Kinect Star Wars Price Comparison

Want to feel like a Jedi for less than a tenner? Been looking for a Star Wars deal that'll allow you to feel the thrill of pod racing? Well, Kinect Star Wars
won't give you that, because it's fairly rubbish. But if you can overlook the lag and if you want something to keep the kids occupied while you sleep off last month's turkey hangover, then Sainsbury's might just have what you need now that Amazon have bumped their price back up again.

Zoo Tycoon Review | Kinect With The Animals

Platform: Xbox One

Developer: Frontier Developments

Publisher: Microsoft Studios

Zoo Tycoon isn't your typical console launch title.

It's an oasis of calm and entry-level accountancy in a cacophony of tyre smoke and bullets, a sim designed for all the family. And a Kinectimals sequel. Frontier Developments have created an odd little title that seems to be at odds with itself, hectic micro-management one moment and making faces at chimpanzees with Kinect the next. As such, Zoo Tycoon attempts the impossible: finding common ground between fans of simulations and casual players who just want to make a fun little zoo and play with its inhabitants.

Whether that middle ground actually exists is up for debate, but Zoo Tycoon still manages to be a charming compromise that anyone with a love of animals - or just a playful spirit- will enjoy regardless of age or ability.

Fighter Within Requires Five Feet Of Floorspace For Kinect Fisticuffs (Also It Still Exists)

Oh yes, Fighter Within. We'd practically forgotten that Ubisoft's Xbox One exclusive is set to offer some virtual full-body beat 'em up action at launch, but a new Xbox Wire post reminds us that it is a thing and is very much happening. What's more, it will only require five feet of free space to play. "Only," of course, being a very relative term depending on the size of your lounge.

Just Dance 2014 Kinect Review | All-In-One Party Solution

Platforms: PS3 | Wii | Wii U | Xbox 360 (reviewed, Kinect required)

Developer: Ubisoft

Publisher: Ubisoft

When it comes to starting the party, Just Dance 2014 stops just short of bringing a keg, some mixers and a selection of novelty hats for everyone. Ubisoft's latest boogie simulator is all about getting you and your friends off the sofa; providing a weighty menu of new songs, karaoke and even a welcome dose of embarrassing mischief to make it worth rearranging your furniture. Though it doesn't reinvent the wheel, several neat new features and undeniable fun factor makes this latest offering the strongest entry in the series to date.

Please note that this review is specifically focused on the Xbox 360 version, which requires a Kinect sensor in order to play.

Here we go again. Much like any previous Just Dance title, this year's iteration lets you groove along to a 46-strong selecion of pop tunes, including the likes of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines, Lady Gaga's Applause and Gwen Stefani's Rich Girl. Just Dance 2014's setlist is impressively strong, though its focus on current pop music will likely leave a few more rock and retro fans out in the cold. Oh wait. There's GhostbustersYMCA and Prince Ali from Aladdin. So that's me sorted, then, at least before a dance game manages to cater to my weirdly specific Priestess, Dropkick Murphys and Pendulum needs.

Toy Story Mania | £9.85 | ShopTo | 360 Kinect

It's probably been a while since you dusted off the Kinect, so why not give this shooting gallery title a go? We'd say this is a great pastime for the kids, but let's face it, everyone loves Toy Story. While we'd prefer to use a Move or Wii controller for a more natural shooting feel, we do prefer this being a fiver cheaper than the other versions. ShopTo are beating the next best 360 price by a fiver too.

Kinect Sports Ultimate Collection | £19.85 | ShopTo | Xbox 360

If, for some reason, you own a Kinect for your 360 and don’t have Kinect Sports, this deal from ShopTo is a fantastic chance to experience all of its mini-game glory. It beats the next best deal elsewhere by almost £18.

Containing both the original release and the Season 2 sequel, there is a huge amount of flailing fun to be had for the price here. Sure, Kinect as a whole may not have set the world on fire as it was intending to, but Kinect Sports was certainly a highlight in the peripheral’s software line-up. Thanks to gerrymig @ HUKD!
