Assassin's Creed: Rogue leaks out as last-gen sequel

How many Assassin's Creed games do we need per year? Following Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD and Assassin's Creed; Unity, Ubisoft reckons that three is the magic number.

Leaked screenshots and trailer confirm that Assassin's Creed: Rogue is headed to PS3 and Xbox 360 as a semi-sequel to Assassin's Creed IV, allowing us to play as a Templar hunting Assassins throughout the icy Antarctic wastes.

Titanfall's 15 maps leak out in detailed top-down images

Stand by for Titanfall intel.

Respawn's anticipated shooter launches next week on Xbox One and PC, and we already know that it's fantastic fun courtesy of the superbly successful beta, but the specifics still elude us. Thankfully a megaton leak has granted us a detailed look at all of the game's 15 maps (admittedly including the tutorial training area), by way of high-quality images presumably lifted from the official strategy guide or art book. We've corralled them all below, thanks to Reddit user FallenFusion [via NeoGAF].

By the looks of things, the fifteen stages contain a pleasing mix of verticality to exploit as agile pilots and open spaces to stomp around in Titans. If you want to eyeball the best Rodeo ambush locations, perhaps you ought to start mugging up now.

Xbox One: Have A Gander At The Dashboard In This Leaked Vid

I really like the Xbox One dashboard. There, I said it. The OS presentation was the very last appointment I had at Gamescom and it served to make the console battle for next-gen a much closer-run thing than it seemed on  the fight out.

Anyway, someone has managed to make a sneaky little video showing off a few of the Dashboard's features. Have a peek after the jump before it gets removed again.

REPORT: Bungie's Destiny "Social At Its Core"

Well this is interesting. Apparently someone pinged a rather tasty document over to the folks at IGN, leaking story details and concept art for Bungie's forthcoming follow-up to the Halo franchise following their split from Microsoft.

According to this document, it would appear that Bungie are looking to create a more accessible game, designed to appeal to a broader range of demographics than perhaps Halo did.

Not only have 343 Industries released a new trailer showcasing Halo 4's acting and motion-capture talent, but it appears that an important segment of the script is plainly visible. The final confrontation, no less. Though we've got a handful of salt ready, we've got both the trailer and analysis after the jump.

Rumoured platforming sequel Rayman Legends appears to be legit, thanks to a leaked trailer that shows off new footage and NFC support in the same vein as Skylanders. Dead Space 3 & NFS: Most Wanted 2 Outed By Indiscreet Retailer

Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2 have both been listed by BTGames, the South African retailer responsible for leaking the Jak & Daxter HD Collection before its official reveal. Neither of these games are officially in development, though potential plot and gameplay details for Dead Space 3 hit the internet last year.

This is the first we've heard of Most Wanted 2. Since Criterion were hiring for an open-world driving game last year and are heavily tipped to be the next Need For Speed developer (after developing the sensational NFS: Hot Pursuit), could we expect the distinguished studio to be working on a Most Wanted sequel? We'll have to wait and see.

CONFIRMED: Forza Horizon Revealed For Autumn

(Potentially Fake) Trailer Outs New Forza Title?

UPDATE: Unbelievably, this is happening.

Microsoft has been haemorrhaging information faster than Ubisoft over the last 24 hours (impressive considering the wealth of leaked intel for Assassin's Creed 3) - and a new trailer may have outed a Forza title entitled Forza Horizon. The video, which notably features no gameplay footage whatsoever, ostensibly dates the racer for "Fall 2012," and implicates UK newcomer Playground Games as the primary developer.

The jury is out on whether this video is legit or not, and there's a compelling argument for the latter. The strangely simple typeface, poor production values and easily-edited party footage suggests that this trailer might well be a fake, and we'll soon learn whether the truth of the matter since Microsoft is set to make a number of major announcements this week. Check it out below and let us know what you make of it.

Square Enix Announce Sleeping Dogs For August

Leak Suggests True Crime: Hong Kong Rebirth?

UPDATE: Square has made this official. Sleeping Dogs is indeed True Crime: Hong Kong, and is set to release in the second half of 2012.

Future Shop have had a busy night. On top of leaking the existence of LittleBigPlanet Karting, they've also outed a new Square Enix title that was debuted at an embargoed Destination PlayStation event. Sleeping Dogs, in development by United Front Games and supervised by Square Enix London, has been slated for an August release on Xbox 360 and PS3... and the leaked packshot (after the break) is strongly reminiscent of cruelly-canned action sequel True Crime: Hong Kong.

Square Enix acquired the rights to develop the IP from Activision last year, but not the rights to the name and brand. It's not unreasonable to suggest that Sleeping Dogs could well be True Crime: Hong Kong in all but name, especially since Square confirmed that a rebrand would be launching in 2012. We'll keep you posted, and be sure to check out our ancient hands-on preview for gameplay details.
