Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes only £4.11 on Steam

Ok so it might only be 2 hours long(ish), but £2.05 an hour? I pay more for a pint of lager which costs me a little more than £2.05 and doesn't last an hour!

Jon reviewed MGS last year where he gave it a 7/10 and said:

"Ground Zeroes is a stealthy sandbox, a playground that lets us get used to and experiment with the slick new Metal Gear mechanics. Its weak storyline and fleeting length are disappointing, but impressive replay value, extra content and undeniable quality will make The Phantom Pain's prologue worth the price of admission for many gamers. For others, though, Ground Zeroes will be the worst kind of tease: one that leaves us both unsatisfied, confused and out of pocket. Be sure to get involved at a price point that suits your level of excitement."

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is just £5.79 on PS4 & £3.99 on PS3, so stop complaining about its length

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is a fantastic slice of stealth sandbox action, but it's also very short. For just £5.79 on PS4 and £3.99 on PS3, however, we can probably all stop complaining and agree that it's well worth a punt.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes only £11.86 on Xbox One

This is a very tempting price for the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Act fast and pick up a copy of Ground Zeroes for just £11.86.

Ground Zeroes has some excellent replay value beyond the initial short run through the story as there's loads to discover around the base. Don't forget, a recent patch has added the previous PS4 exclusive MGS1-style mission content too. Check out Jon's review if you're still on the fence.

Under £10 for a physical copy!

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes acts as a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and takes place one year after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Assuming control of the legendary Snake (a.k.a. Big Boss), players are charged with the infiltration of Camp Omega where both Paz and Chico are held. The hostages hold key information concerning Snake and his private military organisation that Snake and his ally Kaz Miller must prevent from being exposed. Ground Zeroes charts the rescue and the subsequent fallout that leads into the beginning of the The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes also acts as a bridge between previous Metal Gear Solid titles, easing players into the vaunted open world of MGSV.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes only £7.19 on PS4

"That's the best price you'll see for the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as you're likely to see in the next six months," is what I said in November. WRONG! The latest sale sees Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes reduced again to £7.19. The retail version is still around £15, that's how hot this deal is. Note: You need a PS+subscription to get this discount price (a still cheap £7.99 without), but if you have a PS4, you probably already do.

Ground Zeroes has some excellent replay value beyond the initial short run through the story as there's loads to discover around the base. Don't forget, a recent patch has added the previous platform exclusive Raiden and MGS1-style missions to each version. Check out Jon's review if you're still on the fence.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes has never been cheaper at £7.49

£7.49 for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. That's the best price you'll see for the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as you're likely to see in the next six months. I've been looking for a decent deal for this one for months and I've not seen it dip below £15 at retail. You're looking at around £17 if you want a disc version today. I'm snapping up this one as you know the disc will have a fat install anyway and chances are I won't want to sell it when I'm done. Note: You need a PS+subscription to get this discount price, but if you have a PS4, you probably already do.

You see, this is why I wasn't bothered about Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes being so short, because I knew eventually it would drop in price and seem better value for money. GameSeek are the cheapest by £3 if you use the above discount code. We've not seen the game drop in price much lately, so you might be waiting a while for it to drop below the £10 barrier. Ground Zeroes has some excellent replay value beyond the initial short run through the story as there's loads to discover around the base. To be honest though, I'm surprised it's below £15 already. I might just have to grab a copy, or should I wait until it drops under a tenner? Don't forget, an upcoming patch will add the Xbone exclusive Raiden content (and vice versa with the MGS1-style mission from PS4 to Xbone).

It's Game Buzz time, folks! Ready your eardrums for some magnificent waffle as we dive into the hottest topics from the industry from the past seven days.

Kojima's MGS: Ground Zeroes cameo is big, overt & hilarious [Spoiler Alert]

Last summer we learned that Hideo Kojima took part in motion capture for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, prompting many fans to wonder whether another cheeky cameo was in order.

Having emerged from a lengthy Ground Zeroes preview session, I can confirm that Kojima does indeed star in the upcoming stealth 'em up... in his most overt and hilarious role yet!

Currently on pre-order for March 21st, this is a prequel for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (because Snake / Big Boss / Keyser Soze haven't had enough backstory already). It's not a full-sized game, hence the discounted price. It was only last week I posted a deal for the next-gen version for £25 (since expired), so it may be worth holding on for another deal if you want the shiniest version.

MGS 5: Ground Zeroes Gets PS4-Exclusive Content... Or Should That Be PS1 Content?

Metal Gear 5 may be multi-platform, but Kojima and Sony are still the best of buddies. Nothing says "I love you" like fat sacks of cash, after all. Today brings us the news that the PS4 version of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will contain an exclusive flashback mission that lets us play as... Solid Snake. As in, the original Solid Snake. From the PS1. Low-poly model and all.

It's a fun little feature, at least judging by the trailer below that's stuffed with cameos (ooh look, the Darpa Chief!) - though it might feel strange to hear Kiefer Sutherland doing the VO. In case that's not enough, we've also got some more gameplay footage, because SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE?!!

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Gets A Budget Price & Launch Window

Next-Gen Versions Cost £10 Extra

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes was outed as a prologue to The Phantom Pain some time ago, but its method of release and distribution has been a major talking point over the last few months. Konami have now revealed that the introductory stealth game will be released next Spring both digitally and at retail, priced as a budget title.
