A tip from HUKD's Tomis000 indicates that Tesco stores might be clearing out their Wii U stock on the cheap, with the Great Yarmouth store offering the Wii U 32GB Premium Nintendo Land bundle for under £150, which is an absolute steal!
More details here: http://goo.gl/YY80CZ
It also looks like Tesco might be selling Pro Controllers for a tenner too (also via Tomis000). Click here for more on that.
In any case, if you happen to live or work or otherwise find yourself near a Tesco that stocks games, swing in and have a gander!

Nintendo Land might not have been the most stellar launch title ever, but for under a fiver it's a great stocking filler and an excellent purchase if you plan on doing some local mutiplayer this Christmas. Cheers JC2MULTIPLAYER000!

ShopTo and GAME have been shipping Captain Toad: Treasure Track from today, so there's still a chance to spend Christmas with the little mushroom fellow and his game of perception-bending puzzles.
Nintendo Land isn't the deepest game you'll ever play, but its GamePad-heavy challenges are great fun in asymmetrical local multiplayer. For £6.85 at ShopTo, it's also a cheap Wii U deal that will tide you over for a few afternoons. You'll save £1 versus The Game Collection.
Thanks to Lomi @ HUKD!
ShopTo have basically republished their Wii U Basic Black Friday console bundle, but for a fiver more. You can currently snag an 8GB Wii U console with New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land & Just Dance 2014 for just £154.99, and that includes an extra WiiMote controller too.
It's a cracking deal, especially with the addition of that extra Wiimote, just don't forget to pick up a hard drive as well, you're going to need it!
These console bundle deals just keep getting better. We ran a scorching Wii U bundle deal yesterday, and this one is pretty much the same, but without Mario Kart 8 and £50 cheaper for it. It's the extra controller that really makes this bundle attractive, with Nintendo Land sure to be a cracking party game for everyone to enjoy when you're stuffed to the gills with turkey and slipping into a food coma this Christmas.
Do be sure to check out our Wii U Christmas Buyer's Guide to get the most out of your console purchase this festive season! Thanks Gooner!
Looking for a Wii U bundle for Christmas, or trying to snap up a bargain console bundle deal ahead of Black Friday? Well you can pick up a Wii U Basic bundle with Nintendo Land, either Wii Party U or Just Dance 2014, and an extra controller for under £160 at the ShopTo outlet.
Frankly, if you're looking for a console with the best games of the year on it, not to mention the safe knowledge that they'll work properly straight out of the box, it's all about the Wii U. Thanks oUkTuRkEyIII!
Asymmetrical multiplayer is big right now. Nintendo have to take their share of the blame for this, really, having designed an entire console around the unique properties of a GamePad that only one person can use when it comes to local multiplayer, but I'm talking more about the likes of Evolve and Fable: Legends and BioWare's upcoming Shadow Realms. We've expressed admiration for the inventive nature of asymmetrical multiplayer in theory -- looking more to the player count side of things, where there's usually a team of players up against a single adversary, rather than the design approach of something like Nosgoth -- but we've also posited that the reality could be quite different, particularly for the lone wolf player.
The thing about all of these games, and actually this does extend to games like Nosgoth too, is that the importance of teamwork is evident as soon as you start playing. Most multiplayer games have elements of this, of course, but there's generally space for solo artists and multiplayer mavericks to be able to do their things as well. To take a look at the biggest name touting asymmetrical multiplayer right now -- Evolve -- is to see a game where every human class has a crucial role to play in the battle against whichever monster you find yourself up against.
It's this aspect of the game that makes Evolve a genuinely thrilling proposition when everything falls into place. The problem is, however, that you either have to do some legwork outside of the game to get that to all fall into place, or pray that the matchmaking system is up to scratch, that you can look for other players wired for sound, hope that they have stable connections and are competent with the character class they're inhabiting.
In short, the things that make games like Evolve interesting in the first place are the very things that make it difficult to build a consistent experience.Click here to read more...
Nintendo Land is a surprisingly solid collection of multiplayer minigames that many Wii U early adopters bought as their first port of call. However, those of you who came in for Bayonetta and Mario Kart can now get your hands on it for less than a tenner courtesy of The Game Collection. Thanks to oUkTuRkEyIII @ HotUKDeals!
The Wii U Basic console only has an 8GB hard drive, most of which is taken up by the operating system. But as I've recently found out, even the 32GB Premium won't last you very long if you plan on maintaing a decent-sized Wii U library so at some point you'll probably want a HDD anyway, meaning your choice of SKU isn't that important really.
Price is, though, and for under £170 at Base.com you can bag a Wii U, a GamePad, an extra Wiimote (MotionPlus of course), a Sensor Bar, two fine multiplayer party games in Wii Party and Nintendo Land. It's perhaps not the best deal for the core gamer (shopping around for a generous bundle with a headline game might be a better bet there), but if you're transitioning up from the Wii or just new to the party, it's a good place to start.
You'll need a hard drive, of course. I went out like an idiot and assumed a new Western Digital MyPassport would work. It doesn't. But the ten-year-old, Y-cabled HDD from my ancient laptop works just fine. Make sure you get one with either a Y-cable or a dedicated power source just to be sure. The Wii U can be iffy with single cable units. You won't need to break the bank, though, and these can either be salvaged as I did from old machines or you can pick up 500GB units for around £30. Nice find, coconut94!
The Game Collection are offering a Wii U Premium Bundle that'll included the 32GB console with all of the trimmings and a bunch of games that include Nintendo Land, Mass Effect 3, and Mario Kart 8. Remember that with Mario kart 8 you can also download a free Wii U title for a limited time, meaning that you can essentially get MK8 and Wind Waker HD with your premium Wii U for under £200.
Should you buy it?
If you love games because games are fun, then yes. Yes you absofuckinglutely should.
If you're going to get a Wii U, this 32GB model is the one you should be going for.Nintendo Land and its collection of minigames is an easier introduction to the new Gamepad (the tablet-esque controller) than something like Zombi U. This is one of the cheapest p[rices I've seen for a premium bundle, check out the retailers website for stock details in your area.
Thanks to Pedrostan at HotUkDeals.
Don't buy it if you don't have any friends. No, really. It's a party game, and a pretty fun one. But don't expect it to hold your interest for very long if you're playing solo, even for £20. Nice spot again from andy4diehard.
Nintendo Land is a surprisingly solid collection of multiplayer minigames that many Wii U early adopters bought as their first port of call. However, if you opted for a premium or ZombiU edition, you can now get your hands on it for less than £25 courtesy of Grainger Games. Thanks to Rhys135 at HotUKDeals.
Zavvi's £224.99 Wii U bundle is one of the best ways to grab a premium pack, and we were blown away by the original deal (found by solidstate at Hot UK Deals). However, the equally-observant deal hunter benstead has noted that Zavvi are back in stock and taking orders. Thanks!
Questions still remain over the Wii U's long-term viability, but with games like The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 on the way - not to mention a new 3D Mario game, Smash Bros and even a Xenoblade title - prices could well go up rather than down later this year.
Zavvi had the Premium Wii U bundle down at this price at the end of last year on their eBay outlet store. Now, however, it's back, and they've brought it in-house. It's a damn good price, and Nintendo Land is a damn fine pack-in. Potentially a worthwhile investment for when LEGO City Undercover, Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 roll up this Spring. Excellent spot solidstate, and thanks to Jason for the tip!
