Batman: Arkham Knight's interim PC patch is out now

It's a little later than planned, but the interim patch for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is now available to download via Steam. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have issued a list of the fixes, which aim on improving the overall performance of the game, along with what they will be sorting out in the next few patches.

DriveClub patch v1.21 now live, adds new Sprint mode

Evolution Studios have continued to add new content to DriveClub since its troubled launch, and the latest patch has just gone live. Along with a whole host of fixes and tweaks, the main highlights are the addition of the Renault R.S 01 (pictured above), leaderboards to all tour events, and the addition of Sprint mode to 12 tracks. We have absolutely no idea what's involved in said mode, but we do know that more tracks will feature it in the coming months, so there's that. Hit the jump to see the patch notes in full.

What's in Battlefield 4's massive winter patch?

Battlefield 4 has received an enormous new update on all platforms. Entitled the Winter Patch, this new wodge of content weighs in at 400MB on PC and 1.34GB on consoles, and is naturally mandatory for playing online.

So what's in it, exactly?

The answer is a metric butt-load of tweaks and improvements, both to performance and the netcode, as well as a brand new Squad Obliteration mode. New player servers will make it easier to get involved, new premium playlists are available and you can customise the UI to a much more granular degree.

There are so many patch notes, in fact, that DICE have rolled out a massive PDF to make things easier. Check it out along with a representative sample of the biggest fixes below.

The War On Honking Trees Continues

We already reported on how Update 2.0 for SimCity had brought in as many new bugs as it had allegedly fixed, but now Maxis have released a statement on their official forums to address the current situation. Maxis have unveiled the patch notes for SimCity update 2.0, and it's rather illuminating, by which we mean that we had little idea just how broken the original game actually was.

The notes are so long and so involved that they rather make a complete mockery of the original game's pretensions towards simulation at all. So it is that tourists will actually tour, buses will work properly, pollution won't spontaneously appear out of nowhere, casinos will actually make some money, and many more little bugs will be fixed.

Defiance Patch 1.010 Hits Servers This Afternoon

Have A New Vid For The Upcoming Minecraft X360 1.8.2

Xbox LIVE's Minecraft will be receiving a whole host of bug fixes and more in update 1.8.2, and should be readdy pretty soon, with developers 4J Studios announcing on Twitter that "we're working hard fixing bugs in our 1.8.2 build - think we have a week or two to go before we can hand it over for Microsoft Cert Testing".

4J also dropped a new little trailer for the update, detailing some of the food fixes and environments in the latest update, titled "New Food". There'll be a full list of fixes and additions once the patch goes through certification.

In Prep For Mists Of Pandaria

We’re just a month away from Mists Of Pandaria’s release, and in prep for this Blizzard has released what is best described as the “prologue” patch for its MMO World of Warcraft. There are a number of changes that are coming into effect with this update, the most notable being the revisions to the Talent trees, and the addition of account-wide pets and mounts. Issue #2 Of The Secret World Revealed, New Raid Announced

More Missions, Character Customisation, & Auxiliary Weapons To Be Added

Keep to the schedule they promised at launch, the second monthly content patch for The Secret World has been announced along with all the missions players will be able to access. Issue #2 – “Digging Deeper” contains new in-game services to alter their avatar’s appearance, and introduces the first Auxiliary weapon; the rocket launcher.
