PlayStation Store Update | Paint Park, MW3 Content & Zombies On The Move

Today's PlayStation Store update brings us House Of The Dead 4: Extended Cut. Since it's compatible with the PS Move peripheral and costs a reasonable £6.49, it's probably worth a download - specially since you can get an extra discount with a PS Plus subscriptions. Doc Clock, a complete Renegade Ops bundle and the world's least competitive price for NHL 12 round out the 'new' games.

In terms of DLC, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players who lack paid Elite subscriptions will finally be able to access the first content bundle, though note that Content Collection #1 will arrive tomorrow (Thursday 19th April) rather than today. Otherwise, there's some new Ninja Gaiden 3 gear, Operation Raccoon City missions and a new level pack for Disney Universe.

Finally, remember that the free Paint Park app is out today, and it looks rather fun.

As always, we've got the update below - courtesy of the EU PlayStation Blog.

PSN Store Update | Resurgence, Silent Sale & Stardrone Extreme

This week's PlayStation Store update brings us Mass Effect 3's first multiplayer DLC pack: Resurgence. It's free, and contains six new classes including Geth and Batarian races. Go get it.

Elsewhere, you can nab yourself Uncharted 3's latest map pack and cross-compatible DLC for Motorstorm RC. PS Plus subcribers can net themselves the original Silent Hill for free, and should do so immediately. The only Vita title this week is Stardrone Extreme, an improved port of the colourful PS3 original including eight extra levels.

As always, we've got the full update below - with more details over at the EU PlayStation Blog.

PlayStation Store Update | I Am Alive, Serious Spring Sale

The big news this week is that I Am Alive, Ubisoft's uncompromising survival simulator, has made its way to the PlayStation network. This bleak tale is a seriously impressive (if miserable and divisive) proposition, and we gave it 8/10 in our I Am Alive review. It's accompanied by Wheels Of Destruction, a vehicular combat game with class-based multiplayer. Nothing new to report on the Vita front, sadly.

Sony's Spring Sale rumbles on, and includes some big savings on titles like Payday: The Heist, DCUO subscriptions, Rochard and Sideway: New York. I'd recommend the latter two games without hesitation, so be sure to check out our reviews through the links. They're bargains at £5.49, and we've got the spring sale details after the break.

Otherwise, there's a fair amount of DLC to optionally spend your hard-earned cash on. Ninja Gaiden 3's Talon weapon is now available to download (even though it should have been included in the game, just sayin') and that great big controversial Street Fighter X Tekken character roster (which is actually included on the disc, even worse).

PlayStation Store Update | Slow Week?

Yawn. There's not much going on over on PSN at the moment, what with a rare less-than-spectacular showing from Sony this week.

In terms of new content, Rayman 3 HD is now available to trial and unlock. And, erm, an Assassin's Creed bundle is available to buy at an unattractive price.

Right. Sales? Well, it appears that Plus subscribers will be able to buy Assassin's Creed: Revelations for a 50% discount, which is fairly competitive (but not necessarily fantastic, thanks esarty). It will expire on Monday, though, so be ready.

The only real DLC news is that The Legend Of Dead Kel, the first story DLC for Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning, is now available along with some new cars/tracks for Motorstorm RC. In case you're still awake, you can read more below or over at the EU PlayStation Blog.

PlayStation Store Update | Trine 2, Free Plus Stuff

Trine 2 will finally be hitting the PSN Store this week after months of certification delays, and to celebrate, Sony has announced a temporary sale for the sensational puzzler. We awarded a 9/10 score to Frozenbyte's puzzly platformer in our Trine 2 review, and you should jump at the chance to nab it for £6.49. The deal gets even sweeter if you happen to be a Plus subscriber, since you'll be able to download it for absolutely nothing.

Plus members will also be able to snag themselves Sly Raccoon HD, Jet Rider, Farm Frenzy 2 and The Impossible Game for free over the next seven days.

In other news, Mass Effect 3 will be releasing digitally on Friday at the laughable price of £49.99, along with PS Vita shooter Unit 13. Brendan recently gave it 7/10, suggesting that a few flaws hold back an otherwise accomplished downloadable title from Zipper Interactive.

As always, we have the full roundup after the break - but I won't hold it against you if you decide to head over to the EU PlayStation Blog instead. It's cool. I'd understand.

PlayStation Store Update | Killzone MP, Choplifter & Lost Archives

This week's biggest PlayStation store news is probably the emergence of Killzone 3's standalone multiplayer suite, which is now free to download and trial up to the generous level cap. You'll be able to drop £11.99 for the full unlock if you enjoy the experience... though you'd be much better off paying a few extra quid for the full version via an online retailer. Helicopter shooter Choplifter HD is also released as a trial & unlock title.

PSOne classics Resident Evil 2 & 3 are now available - and Plus subscribers can download them for nothing this week. Definitely worth doing. Sadly, regular deals are at an absolute premium, and there's nothing worth writing home about on that front.

As far as DLC goes, Assassin's Creed: Revelations story DLC has finally hit the store along with NeverDead's second multiplayer content pack.

As always, we have the full update after the break - or browse over to the new-look EU PlayStation Blog update for more details.

PlayStation Store Update | PS2 Invasion, Free Far Cry 2, Monster Demos

Wow. This week's PlayStation Store update is a bit of a monster.

Let's begin with the PS2 invasion. A massive number of PS2 titles are now available to download, notably including God Hand and SSX: On Tour.

Demo-wise, we've got Mass Effect 3 and Binary Domain trials to sink our teeth into. Big games, big names and massive expectation means that you should definitely get on these as soon as possible.

In terms of deals, PS Plus Subcribers can net themselves Far Cry 2 for free. Which you should definitely give a fair trial, because it's one of the most cruelly underrated shooters of this generation in my humble opinion. It's hard and nasty, but perfectly simulates being completely alone in hostile territory. Hand-holding is not an option. Non Plus members can grab themselves a 50% saving on top of a few other digital offers.

Finally, new content is aptly provided by House Of The Dead 3, Scarygirl and free Dungeon Defenders DLC. We've got the update in full after the break, or feel free to browse over to the EU PlayStation Blog if you really need to know PEGI ratings and file sizes.

PSN Store Update | Beta Get On Twisted Metal

Today's PSN update is all about the demos. The Twisted Metal Beta is the main event, supported by Syndicate's cooperative trial and the freely-available Gotham City Impostors demo. Get on it ahead of tomorrow's server outage.

Otherwise, it's really rather quiet. Kane & Lynch games are now available to download at extortionate prices (avoid, avoid like the plague), and Dead Island's Ryder White DLC pack is on hand to provide a new perspective on the singleplayer campaign. More details here.

PSN Store Update | Final Fantastic Deals

The PSN January sale has entered its final week... and to celebrate, Sony has partnered up with Square Enix to offer some fantastic savings on the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy Tactics: War Of The Lions is £3.99. So are the remastered versions of Final Fantasy 1-4. It's high time to gorge on retro RPG goodness and remind ourselves how daddy used to make 'em.

New content-wise, however, it's somewhat quieter. Pinballistik and Puddle seem to be the main events, bolstered such as they are by the PSN debut of Duke Nukem Forever. Which should make them look a lot more attractive in comparison. The Darkness 2 demo is also finally available, so you can see how your impressions match up with ours.

In terms of new DLC, this week's highlights are unquestionably the Muppets pack for LBP2 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine's new Dreadnought assault mode.

Read on for our edited version of this week's highlights (we've trimmed out all the ratings and file size bumf), or head over to the EU PlayStation Blog.
