Resident Evil 6 only £1.95 on Xbox 360

It's not the best in the series admittedly, but it's not the worst game created either. At only £1.95 delivered on Xbox 360, it's definitely worth a punt.

Resident Evil 6 is a smart cooperative shooter with an extraordinary amount of raw content. Though environmental exploration and fear factor have been replaced by breathless intensity, the four campaigns, multiple modes and superbly fun multiplayer options grant it a huge amount of longevity.

However, some poorly-designed encounters, inappropriate QTEs and roller coaster linearity stops Capcom's sequel from stacking up with the best shooters already on the market. Great fun with friends, but you'll need to get your horror fix elsewhere. Resident Evil 6 Review | Rollicking Roller Coaster

£2.95 for Resident Evil 6? Be rude not to really.

£2.95 for Resident Evil 6? Be rude not to really.

Resident Evil 6 is back on offer at the ridiculously cheap £2.95 for a NEW copy!

Despite being an improvement over Resi 5 and Raccoon City, we're still a long way off the glory days of the series. However, this deal offers great value for money. You're essentially getting three different campaigns for the price of a pint. One is action-heavy like recent games, while another attempts to return to the older vibe of taking on shuffling zombies in creepy locations. We don't really like to talk about the melee-centric campaign though. Despite being able to finally move while shooting, the controls still feel incredibly dated and sluggish. But man, so cheap!

Thanks to mixmixi.

Resident Evil 6 is well worth a punt at £2.45 on Xbox 360

No, really.

Cards on the table: I really liked Resident Evil 6. It may not be the horror game the series deserved, but it was a fun and varied action game that's an absolute hoot in co-op. Leon's section is superb, Chris' section is... okay, it's absolute shite... but then Jake and Sherry get a fantastic chapter of their own and naturally Ada shows up.

I really enjoyed it as far as it went, especially played with friends, and I'd recommend it wholeheartedly with change for £2.50. If only so you can actually play it before leaping on the bandwagon.

Resident Evil 6 really isn't that bad, especially for £2.95 on Xbox 360

No, really, it isn't. Especially at just £2.95 on Xbox 360. Thanks, Rudedude!

Okay. Remain calm. Please don't spit on the screen or start screaming uncontrollably when I tell you that Resident Evil 6 is only £2.50 on Xbox 360 this weekend.

Resident Evil 6 is great value at £3.85 on 360

Resident Evil 6 is on the cheap again, you'd think the boxes were actually infected the way retailers tear chunks off the price to get it out of their warehouse. It's not all bad at all though for £3.85 on Xbox 360.

Despite being an improvement over Resi 5 and Raccoon City, we're still a long way off the glory days of the series. However, this deal offers great value for money. You're essentially getting three different campaigns for under a fiver. One is action-heavy like recent games, while another attempts to return to the older vibe of taking on shuffling zombies in creepy locations. We don't really like to talk about the melee-centric campaign though. Despite being able to finally move while shooting, the controls still feel incredibly dated and sluggish. But again, it's £3.85.

Resident Evil 6 is pretty balls if you're looking for a classic survival horror experience (buy The Evil Within instead). However, for less than £3 it might well be worth picking up if you fancy a bit of cathartic shooting-zombies-in-their-ugly-faces.

And at least it's better than Resident Evil 5, right?

Probably.

It may not have sold as many as Capcom wanted (still millions like), but Resi 6 at least managed to be more enjoyable than Resi 5 or Raccoon City. You're essentially getting three different campaigns here, each offering a different experience. One is action-heavy like recent games, while another attempts to return to the older vibe of taking on shuffling zombies in creepy locations. We don't really like to talk about the melee-centric campaign though. Even though you can finally move and shoot, the controls still feel incredibly dated and sluggish. You can try all three modes in the demo, so it may be worth a bit of try before you buy.

Resi 6 couldn't choose one outfit for its latest outing, so instead we were given three separate campaigns that we can attempt in any order. One features some old-school Resi action with creepy buildings and shuffling zombies, another plays more like a full on action shooter title, while the last one features more melee action. No surprises for guessing which one's the stinker there. A jack of all trades and a master of none for sure, but playing in co-op does offer some respite from the typically abysmal AI.

Daily Sale Sees 50% Off Resident Evil Titles Xbox Live Games On Demand

Five Titles Get A Reduction

Fans of Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise that may have missed out on a title here or there can now catch up or relive a number of the classic survival-horror games for a reduced price, all thanks to the latest daily deals on Xbox Live’s Games On Demand service. Best of all, all of the sale prices beat the next best offers elsewhere.

So, what’s on offer? The remake of the Dreamcast version of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X falls to £4.49, while Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6 drop to £8.99 each. Finally, multiplayer-centric Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City falls to £11.99.

CODE Veronica X and RE4 are fondly remembered entries in the series, while the latest instalments have somewhat split opinion in recent years. Still, the current sale is a fine opportunity to get hold of these games in download form if you want to go take on some zombies / parasite-ridding foes on your Xbox 360.

PC gamers may be getting tired with current consoles holding back developers, but hey, you're getting pre-order prices like this. Resident Evil 6 divided the critics, but it's far from boring. It features three different campaigns with each try something a little different. Some are very action-heavy, while others try to retain traditional Resi elements. The game is out March 22nd and you may struggle to find a cheaper pre-order price.

Resident Evil Producer Plans To Focus On "Horror & Fear" Going Forward

'Revises Opinion' Of Action Elements

Following the fan feedback (read: furore) surrounding Resident Evil 6, producer Masachika Kawata has 'revised his opinion' on adding bang bang shooty action to the series - instead deciding that "horror and fear" will retake its place as the core pillar of the franchise.
