Yes, this is about the billionth deal we've posted for Torchlight II, but it's also one of the cheapest. Runic Games' dungeon crawler is one of the very best we've seen in recent years: colourful, exciting, varied, impactful and full of more loot than most can handle. You can use voucher code GFDJAN20UK to get the deal price. Thanks to flabble @ HUKD, who tirelessly rounded up the entire Gamefly sale like a boss.
However, if you and three friends want to get Torchlight 2, you might be better off with GamersGate's £11.21 four-pack, which will save you a few extra pennies so long as they pay you back.
This isn't the cheapest we've seen Runic's dungeon crawling sequel fall to, but it's still a very agreeable price and the cheapest currently available. Overall you can save £9 with this deal over the next best offer elsewhere.
A superior offering to Blizzard's long-awaited sequel in many ways, Torchlight II improved on its predecessor and gave us more interesting classes, all the loot we could handle, and a mod-creation suite to let the community make their own experiences to share. At this price it's definitely one to consider if you're looking for something to occupy your time over the Christmas period.
Runic Games detailed the additions coming to Torchlight II in patch 1.22.x.40. As well as a host of new pets, armour sets, and maps, the patch will fully unlock the GUTS modding system, which allows players to alter virtually every facet of the game using Runic own dev kit toolset.
Not only that, but GUTS is fully supported in multiplayer, and has Steam Workshop integration. Oh PC gaming, how we love thee.Check out the full patch notes here >>
Did you miss the Gamersgate deal a month back? Well, Steam are running a little sale on Torchlight II now and it's only a penny more than GG's was. Frankly, paying less than a tenner for the RPG of the Year is an utter steal.
You can also pick up its predecessor for £3.24.
Another day, another set of Gamersgate flash deals. This time the main highlight is Torchlight II having its price slashed in half, dropping it to the lowest we’ve seen and providing a saving of £7.50 over the next best offer. Please note that you will need to redeem this purchase on Steam to play.
Our September Game Of The Month ended up showing the Diablos of the world how dungeon crawling should be done, and then some. Undeniably fun with its satisfying combat, and with copious amounts of user created content at your disposal, you’ll get plenty of hours of enjoyment from this one. Thanks to Pankratz @ HUKD!
I gave Torchlight II a perfect score in our full review. It's probably the pinnacle of the dungeon crawling action RPG genre, blending colourful art with intensely satisfying combat and varied enemies. Not to mention all the depth you could ever want (so long as you don't play it on Normal difficulty) and infinite modding potential.
Anyway, you can now get more than £3 off by getting Runic Games' budget masterpiece from GamersGate.
Runic Games has released a Gource-powered video that shows how Torchlight II evolved throughout its three painstaking years of development. For those in the know, it's a fascinating romp through the iterative development process - but for others it will resemble a full-scale assault from the Crystalline Entity.
We gave Torchlight II a perfect score in our recent review, praising the 33-man team for creating an exceptional, versatile and above all fun dungeon crawler.Click here to read more...

Is there such a thing as a 'perfect' game?
Speaking objectively and empirically, probably not. How could there be? After all, something as subjective as a videogame can't please everybody, nor could it live up to all of our expectations. Speaking as a critic, identifying and reporting flaws is important for our readers and developers alike, who genuinely appreciate our feedback and take it to heart when designing their future games and patches.
But sometimes a game can cater to its target audience so comprehensively to be considered perfect. After months of delays, Torchlight II is finally with us... and I'm hard-pressed to find anything wrong with it. Runic Games have taken the dungeon crawling, loot grinding, power levelling ARPG sub-genre and made it more fun, iterating on every aspect of the original while fixing many of the problems inherent to the genre. Blowing the niche wide open, allowing players to get involved on their terms and play it the way they want. All for £14.99.
It's a sequel that, for some, will feel like the true successor to Diablo II - not just the original Torchlight.

It's a good month for free soundtracks. Hot on the heels of Black Mesa's wonderful score, Runic Games have announced that you can download the soundtrack to Torchlight II for absolutely nothing as well.

Torchlight II releases tomorrow, and you can snap up the original in the latest Humble Bundle.

Torchlight II was originally supposed to release before Diablo III, but some balancing issues forced Runic to push it back. For now, enjoy some facts and figures - this loot-grinding sequel is going to be huge.
I believe that you can technically get Torchlight II for less than £11.99 if you buy a 4-pack through Steam, but this Gamefly deal is a decent way of getting your hands on the anticipated RPG if you're only looking for a single copy. Not only will you save £3 on the asking price by using voucher code GFUKAUG2012, but you'll also get the original Torchlight into the bargain.
Note that the code may only work if you enter it during checkout as opposed to in-basket.
Runic Games will reveal Torchlight 2's launch date on August 31st to kick off their appearance at PAX Prime. The anticipated loot-grinding sequel was originally intended to release before Diablo III, but some balancing issues forced Runic to push it back into TBA territory. For now, enjoy some statistics in infographic form.
So... I've just posted a release date for a release date. That's a new one.
Torchlight II may still not have a release date, but Runic Games have pushed out a nifty infographic that shows just how much bigger their upcoming loot grinder will be compared to the original. It will have four times the number of assets, double the number of unique player skills, 529% more unique areas, 87% more loot and quadruple the playtime. Hit the break to witness the graphical information overload in all its glory, or head over to Runic Games for a more detailed breakdown.
Balancing this huge amount of content is proving to be extremely time-consuming, hence the delay. Naturally we'll keep you updated with the latest.Click here to read more...
Runic Games have unveiled the opening cinematic to their upcoming game Torchlight II, not that there's a release date yet, mind. If the art style looks a little familiar, that's because the video was produced in collaboration with Klei Entertainment, the folk behind Shank and its sequel.Click here to read more...
Runic Games has revealed the fourth and final character class for Torchlight II: The Embermage. She is an offensive spellcaster capable of delivering focused, precise attacks at a considerable distance, or of shifting foes violently away with short-range teleportation—usually with physically wrenching results for the targets! In battle, the Embermage wields each aspect of the Ember like a duelist wielding a blade—switching from fire to ice to lightning and back again in the span of a few heartbeats—all while disappearing from their foe's sight and reappearing in another, more advantageous position!
We've got more details directly from Runic Games as well as a full picture after the break. While you're here, be sure to check out our Torchlight II hands-on preview and chat with Runic CEO Max Schaefer!Click here to read more...
