The folks at Indie Royale are up to their usual tricks once again, this time with a bunch of Serious Sam goodness on offer - including Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, Serious Sam Double D, Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack and Serious Sam: The First & Second Encounter. Indie Royale operate on a 'Beat the Minimum' policy, where the price goes up as more sales are made, with the price dropping if people chip in with more than the minimum.
It's just under £2 at the time of writing, which is an utter steal for all of this awesomeness. Seriously!
The Little Big Bunch bundle has gone live and it's veritably mouthwatering. You can see the lineup above, but for even further encouragement (as if any sane person would need it), you really should check out Jon's reviews of Frozen Synapse and Serious Sam: Double D. The former has already made our Game of the Year shortlist.
This time, everything's quite UK-oriented, with proceeds split between developers and the charity GamesAid. As with Humble Bundle, there's a slider so you can decide how much of your purchase goes where.
Do it. Do it now!

Developer: Mommy's Best Games
Publisher: Devolver Digital
Devolver Digital's decision to commission some veteran Independent developers to design their own unique take on the Serious Sam franchise was nothing less than a stroke of utter genius. It's fantastic brand publicity and a cynical PR coup, but more importantly, it has allowed the best weapons designer in the games industry to do what he does best. Nathan Fouts designed the guns for Ratchet & Clank and Resistance when he worked for Insomniac (and the gore mechanics from Postal 2 back in the day), and after developing several ridiculous games under his Mommy's Best Games boutique label, he's brought his love of innovative gameplay mechanics and balls-out fun to a series that already delivers an insane level of action.
After we got to play Serious Sam: Double D at E3, we've actually been as excited about it as we are for as Croteam's long-awaited Serious Sam 3. Excitement, as it turns out, that was thoroughly justified. Double D is one of the most ludicrously, graphically, biblically fun games that you'll play this year - fun that can only come from the ability to butcher your way through swathes of flying amputated monkeys, dinosaurs and exploding-chested cyberwomen with a teetering tower of outrageous firearms.
If you're looking for sweeping exposition and a thoughtful portrayal of the human condition then you've come to the wrong franchise. However, if you want your games to be ridiculously epic, Serious Sam: Double D might be the smartest purchase you'll make in 2011.Click here to find out why!
Serious Sam: Double D was one of our favourite games of E3. Nathan Fouts, the veteran weapon designer behind Ratchet & Clank and Resistance has been crafting a ludicrously ultraviolent action platformer for your viewing pleasure, using assets and licences courtesy of the Serious Sam franchise. Expect big guns, bigger mammary glands and ridiculous pancake-based enemies to throw down on.
The gunstacking system allows us to literally stick up to six weapons together simultaneously, resulting in an unstoppable tower of power. The following trailer demonstrates why you should care - and why you should check out our preview with all due haste. Serious Sam: Double D is set for an August 30th release on Steam and Get Games, and we'll have a full review for you a day earlier.Click here for the gunstacking trailer!
Mommy's Best Games doesn't do subtle.
Nathan Fouts, the veteran designer behind Ratchet & Clank's weaponry, Resistance's arsenal and the epic Postal series, left Insomniac games and founded his own boutique indie studio to pursue his love of independent development. He's the man you can rely on for sumptuous hand-drawn artwork, incredibly innovative boomsticks, ridiculous action, award-winning mechanics and truly worrying enemy design... and now he's been let loose on the anarchic Serious Sam license with free rein to do what he does best.
I'll be posting my full hands-on preview of Croteam's upcoming Serious Sam 3: BFE in the next couple of days... but frankly, we're just as excited for its downloadable companion.
Read on for Femikazes, Vuvuzela pancakes, corpse piling and the most Serious Sam yet!
Devolver Digital has announced that it's set to reveal three new licensed Serious Sam titles today - and after a little digging, we've got a few details for you prior to the official announcement. Three established Indie studios will be developing the projects and are set to deliver a serious take on traditionally casual games. Nathan Fouts, the weapons designer behind the Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series, has confirmed to us that his studio is working on one of the projects.
