EXPIRED: This Call of Duty: Black Ops III deal for Xbox One is absolutely ridiculous

There's a huge probability that this is a mis-price and so it might not be honoured, but if it is you'll be getting the latest COD for under a tenner. Which is ridiculous. Do be aware that charges under £50 include an additional £4 charge, but even with that on top this is still a fantastic deal. Thanks to Change_Me @ HUKD!

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Review | A co-op coup

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is so packed with content it tough to pick a place to start. While many COD players like to skip the campaign each year and dive straight into the multiplayer, Black Ops III's story mode marks the long-awaited return of co-op, making it one of the best campaigns the series has seen in a while.

However, I ran through the campaign playing solo first. This third entry in the convoluted Black Ops storyline jumps even further into the future. The world has gone to shit, but I can't remember why. Soldiers have body modifications that allow them to jump higher and wall-run in a similar, but certainly toned down, version of the hyper movement skills seen in last year's ambitious Advanced Warfare. You can now shoot while mantling over low walls and even reload while sprinting for a much more fluid feeling Call of Duty and these features gel nicely with the competitive multiplayer too.

You also have new skills to charge up during stages and as they recharge pretty fast, you can use them loads. You can send a swarm of bee-like nanomachines to set enemies on fire, highjack turrets, control drones and other sci-fi inspired moves. There's an x-ray view you can use as much as you want to see enemies through walls and there's a good chance you'll never turn it off (like Detective Mode in the Arkham games), although it feels a bit cheaty, especially with the attachments that allow better wall penetration shots.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PS4 falls to its lowest price yet

This is the cheapest deal we've seen for the PS4 version of Black Ops III, beating the next best offer elsewhere by almost £4. Even with Black Friday coming up, chances are you won't find a better deal than this for a while. Our review is in the works, but let's face it - it's Call of Duty. It will be loud, over the top, and have slick gameplay controls, with its multiplayer suite and Zombies mode offering plenty of online action. If you need a shooter in your life that doesn't have lightsabres, this almost certainly do the trick. Thanks to TechNinja @ HUKD!

Call of Duty: Black Ops III on Xbox 360 / PS3 falls to £27.95, but is it worth it?

If you really need your yearly COD fix and have yet to upgrade to the current-gen consoles, this is the best price around for Blops III by around £8. That said, it needs stating that this is a purely multiplayer affair as the co-op campaign has been cut completely, and graphical downgrades are rather noticable this time around. Still, the gameplay remains the same and Zombies mode is indeed there, but it might be worth thinking about jumping into the current-gen next year if you're a die-hard fan. Can Black Ops 3 fix Call Of Duty's biggest flaw?

Can Black Ops 3 fix Call Of Duty's biggest flaw?

Call Of Duty: Black Ops III broke cover over the weekend, as I'm sure you know. The hype train is already rolling in advance of its November 6th launch following the reveal trailer, news of a beta and loads of leaked intel about what Treyarch's third game plans to bring to the table.

To be frank, we're really rather excited.

Professional detachment and  Treyarch's past form aside, Black Ops III is making some very encouraging noises and seems dead-set on fixing one of the biggest problems with the series so far. The singleplayer campaign.

Can Black Ops 3 fix Call Of Duty's biggest flaw?

Call Of Duty is famed for its multiplayer, of course, but many players have forgotten that COD 4: Modern Warfare also delivered one of the most impressive FPS campaigns of the last console generation. It may have been bombastic and intense, but it also delivered a uniquely thought-provoking perspective on war, focusing on the personal cost in some unforgettable and surprisingly intimate sequences. Coupled with some sensational set pieces (All Ghillied Up will remain a timeless classic), it was an underrated component of a deservedly lauded shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III gets ridiculously fun trailer

The brand new gameplay debut trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops III from Treyarch just landed and it's pretty damn awesome if we're honest.

You'll have fun spotting some of the 'influences' from other hit games. So far we can see reminders of the likes of Vanquish, Titanfall, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Binary Domain and wait,,, Haze? We can't wait to get our hands on the game as it looks set to continue in a similar manner to the highly enjoyable Advanced Warfare, despite development reverting back to Treyarch.

We didn't see exo-suits, but enhanced movement like speed thrusts, wall-running and knee slides certainly seem to be in. Along with Deus Ex-style upgrades and robotic enemies and mechs as seen in the likes of Vanquish and Binary Domain. We're certainly not complaining, mash up all these influences and you have the potential for a fantastic shooter. Advanced Warfare was the boot up the arse the series needed and Black Ops III looks like it may speed things up even more. We most certainly approve.

Despite describing Call Of Duty: Ghosts' engine as "all-new" in the initial press releases, Infinity Ward has stated that it's instead been heavily upgraded from their existing tech, and packs enough sweeping improvements to legitimately be referred to as a brand-new.
