Get a new copy of Watch Dogs on XO for £5

For all our mixed feelings about Watch Dogs, we can't deny it's worth a look. And at just £5 for a NEW Xbox One copy, you'll have a lot of fun. Act fast, as this is another Lightning Deal offer.

For the length of Watch Dogs' story, the unique hacking opportunities will keep you hooked, as there’s nothing else quite like it out there. But outside of the hacking, police chases go on too long, side-missions feel repetitive, the audio diaries or home hacks aren’t that interesting and never try to form a bigger picture of the story a la Assassin’s Creed’s extras. It’s a shame, as the game undoubtedly breaks new ground with the hacking opportunities both behind the wheel or when sneaking around on foot. Much like the first Assassin’s Creed, the game has struggled with its own hype, but as history shows, Ubisoft are more than capable of turning this into an essential series if they can make the world and the gameplay around the hacking more interesting too.

Watch Dogs only £5 on PS4 and Xbox One

For all our mixed feelings about Watch Dogs, we can't deny it's worth a look. And at just £5 for a pre-owned PS4 or Xbox One copy, you'll have a lot of fun. This is actually for the Special Edition of the game, but we're assuming any DLC codes have already been used. This is still the cheapest way to get the game though.

Get Watch Dogs On PS4/XO for £1 when you spend £10 on preowned titles at Game

Watch Dogs received somewhat of a mixed reception after its release back in November of last year, but for all our mixed feelings of Ubisoft's overly hyped release, it's increasingly hard to argue with a £1 purchase for PS4 or Xbox One versions. Especially if you're spending £10 on preowned titles from Game anyway.

Watch Dogs is a revolutionary sandbox that redefines player freedom and choice... that was subsequently eaten by a big bloated open-world game that takes less risks than it should. Watch Dogs 2 will need to focus and turn fat into muscle, but the fact remains that Ubisoft have delivered a huge versatile game that can be enjoyed on your terms. Combat, stealth and driving are all strong enough to impress, while hacking constantly provides new opportunities for violence, evasion, chaos, mischief or plain old voyeurism. You can still see the fiercely unique hacking game just behind the bloat, and better yet, play it. Watch Dogs Review | Big Dog

After a pedantic yet righteous portion of the internet thumped Ubisoft for "downgrading" Watch Dogs between its E3 2012 showing and 2014 launch, Ubisoft have decided to shoot straight when it comes to gameplay footage.

Watch Dogs - Vigilante Edition is £19.99 on Xbox One

Watch Dogs was hyped massively in the build up to its release just over a year ago. It's now regarded as what I would refer to as a marmite game, some really hate it, some just love it. £19.99 for the Vigilante Edition is a brilliant price when you take into account it comes complete with:

    • Vigilante Collector box
    • Aiden Pearce’s iconic cap
    • Aiden Pearce’s mask

COMMENT | Crying "downgrade" - a monster of the industry's own making

"Downgrade!" "Downgrade!" "Downgrade!" The cycle of accusations and allegations begins afresh with a new witch hunt as the Witcher 3 comes under fire for not looking as good as an early unoptimised build, and we're getting pretty sick of the whole thing.

There's a case to be made that 'downgrade' accusations are a product of unreasonable entitled gamers who don't understand how games development and marketing works, and I was good and ready to argue that case. In fact, I ploughed 507 words into a first draft... before deleting the entire article and realising that there's another way of looking at the situation from a very different perspective.

Isn't this suspicion and cynicism a perfectly natural reaction to an industry that has systematically exaggerated or downright lied to its customers for years? Aren't gamers actually "entitled" to point it out, not "entitled" because they pointed it out?

PlayStation 4 Console Watch Dogs Bundle only £269.73

Bank Holiday weekend is upon us which usually sees great savings on various gaming items. Lets kick this weekend off with a PlayStation 4 Console Watch Dogs Bundle for only £269.73.

Granted Watch Dogs isn't the game Ubisoft had us wishing it had been for so long, but for a PS4 console and game, £269.73 is one of the better prices!

Jon reviewed Watch Dogs for us back in June of last year going on to say:

Watch Dogs is a revolutionary sandbox that redefines player freedom and choice... that was subsequently eaten by a big bloated open-world game that takes less risks than it should.

Watch Dogs now £12.57 on PS4

Watch Dogs seems to have a very Marmite essence surrounding it, for many it's the game they waited so long for and hated, and on the other hand we have the gamers that love it. When Jon reviewed it last year he gave it an 8/10 saying:

Watch Dogs is a revolutionary sandbox that redefines player freedom and choice... that was subsequently eaten by a big bloated open-world game that takes less risks than it should.

Regardless of the mixed reviews on Watch Dogs if your still to try it out it's definitely worth a shot at only £12.57.

Watch Dogs became one of the most divisive games of the year, delighting some and disappointing others largely depending on how much hype you'd been exposed to. However, it's still an interesting and unique sandbox game that contains some great hacking mechanics under a bit too much bumf. Watch Dogs was not the 'next-gen' game many of us were unrealistically hoping for, but behind the hype and some flabby padding lies a game that's still well worth checking out. Hacking the city is a blast, especially while driving and re-enacting all the classic Chicago chases from Blues Brothers. Either way, I'd heartily recommend it for less than £10, and you can find out why in my Watch Dogs review!

    Nice one, mrsusan74.
