Comparison Video Pits Call Of Duty: Ghosts Against Modern Warfare 3

Infinity Ward have released a portion of their Xbox One reveal presentation that demonstrates the advances Call Of Duty: Ghosts makes over Modern Warfare 3 in terms of graphical grunt. The newly unveiled shooter uses a new next-generation (cross-generation, technically) engine that finally makes motion-captured dogs a reality.

Call Of Duty: Ghosts is dated for November 5th on current-gen consoles and PC, while it's also confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One. You can watch the reveal trailer and dev diary through the link.

New Battlefield 4 Screenshots Are Very Shiny Indeed

A trio of new Battlefield 4 screenshots have hit the net [via MP1st], that show off some serene forest environments, close-up character model detail and a great big honking explosion that I've used as the title banner in a cheap ploy to attract your attention. Did it work?

Battlefield 4 was predictably officially confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One earlier today, while its pre-order DLC pack has received firm details.

Battlefield 4 Dated, Confirmed For Xbox One & PS4

China Rising DLC Revealed

Battlefield 4 didn't show up to the Xbox One reveal event (partly because it isn't a television channel or sports game), but DICE have nevertheless confirmed that their anticipated shooter will release on both next-gen consoles.

Perhaps more importantly, though, Battlefield 4 now has a firm current-gen release date and some DLC details.

RUMOUR: Xbox One Reveal Hints At Potential New Crackdown Game

Is Crackdown 3 in development? Were Microsoft just desperately trying to find iconic symbols for the meagre handful of headline-grabbing exclusive IPs they still own?

Either way, a screengrab [via Johnny Cullen] of the new dashboard for the Xbox One has revealed something rather interesting. We can't be 100% sure, but we're pretty certain that the little icon in the lower-left corner of the dashboard looks awfully like an agility orb, wouldn't you say?

Indeed, the whole dashboard is really one big tease. The character in the bottom-right looks a bit Fable-y to us, and is that a Ryse shot up top?

Mo-Capped Dogs Confirmed

Call Of Duty: Ghosts took to the Xbox One stage to reveal our first look at their next-generation engine, which seems to do a fantastic job of handling foliage and facial expressions (the latter of which is odd for a game about "masked warriors," but hey ho). Infinity Ward promise that it will be the "best" and "most emotional" Call Of Duty game to date, with writing duties falling to Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, Syriana).

You can watch the gameplay trailer above and hit the jump for the more detailed behind-the-scenes dev diary - along with some more details.
