Could we be seeing more period super-sleuthing? It would certainly seem that way as Take-Two hinted at a bright future ahead for the company's newest addition to the franchise roster.
CEO Strauss Zelnick praised the game highly in his call to investors yesterday, saying that L.A. Noire had provided Take-Two with their most 'successful new release' in the past fiscal year, going on to suggest that we could see similar titles in the future.
'This groundbreaking title from Rockstar has set a new standard for video games with cinematic art and has become an important franchise for the company,' said Zelnick.
Of course, the story of L.A. Noire isn't entirely a bed of roses. No official consumer sales figures have been confirmed by Rockstar and developer Team Bondi slipped into administration this autumn, announcing closure a few weeks later. [EG]
