While we shuffle nervously in our seats, awaiting the release of LA Noire on the 20th, the reviews fly in thick and fast for Rockstar's crime opus. Already it's averaging 90 on MetaCritic, and the critical reception has been so spectacular for publisher Take-Two Interactive that stock in the company has skyrocketed to their highest amount in over thirty two months!
Shares went from 7.75 per cent to $17.10, which is the biggest spike Take-Two has seen since rumours ran wild with speculation that EA was mulling a takeover bid. The initial sales forecast for LA Noire is already past four million, which bodes well for us seeing much more of Cole Phelps and the rest of the LAPD in an inevitable sequel. [Eurogamer]
