Chun-Li, Ryu and the rest of the Capcom gang should be pretty recognisable to you, provided this isn't the first fighting game you've ever player or you've been living in a cave for the last couple of decades. On the other hand the playable characters from the Tatsunoko animation studios impressive repertoire might not be quite so familiar as they rarely make appearances outside of Japan.
The gameplay works on a three button system, which you might think would lead to a frenzied button bashing session instead of taking the time to learn the more advanced fighting techniques, however getting to grips with the controls is great fun and once you've mastered them it'll take a warrior of equal skill to take you down. Whilst the Wii-mote can be used, you're better off plugging in a gamecube pad or classic controller, or better still an arcade joystick if you've got one knocking about.
The environments and characters look great, the online multiplayer is a blast, and there's a decent list of characters to unlock including the chance to pluck Frank West out of his zombie filled world and take on the living for a change, which should keep you battling through the game over and over again.
