Team Bondi Reveals Whore Of The Orient For Next-Gen Consoles

Team Bondi has confirmed that their next game will be entitled Whore Of The Orient, referring to the disrespectful name given to Shanghai by its inhabitants. Set in 1936, the project is apparently headed to next-generation consoles as well as PC.

The official Team Bondi website carries the first new details of the project, which will be developed in conjunction with KMM film production company (Team Bondi's owners) and Warner Bros.

Shanghai, 1936. Whore of the Orient. Paris of the East. The most corrupt and decadent city on the planet, where anything can be had or done for the right price. Plaything of Western powers who greedily exploit the Chinese masses. Boiling pot of Chinese nationalism, with the Kuomintang ruthlessly trying to suppress Communism and the labour movement. Home to the International Police Force, a group of Western cops hopelessly trying to keep the lid on and keep the peace.

From the development team who brought you L.A. Noire and The Getaway, along with the Academy Award winning film production team of Kennedy Miller Mitchell comes a completely new and original IP being developed for next generation games consoles and PC.

A solitary piece of artwork reveals little more than a coutyard, but it's posted above in case you fancy taking a closer look.

Well, that was anti-climactic "referring to the disrespectful name given to Shanghai by its inhabitants."

Also "From the development team who brought you... The Getaway" Which was an early PS2 game, that had PS1 graphics but bigger maps than we had seen before... lets hope they are not doing the same here and are going to keep the momentum flowing following on from the awesome LA Noire.
