Jurassic Park Headed To 360
Telltale Games have ignored the Xbox over the last two years in favour of PC, iOS and PSN releases, but the independent studio has announced that they'll be bringing their wares to Microsoft's console after signing a new publishing deal. Don't worry, it's not exclusive. They've also confirmed that the first episode in their Jurassic Park series will be heading to the Xbox 360 - and that this could well be the reason behind the recent delay.
In a recent tweet, Telltale Games confirmed that a new licensing deal will allow them to publish their future releases on the Xbox 360 platform.
We're very excited to announce that we are officially publishing games for the XBox 360! We will still be coming to other platforms as well.
No announcements on what's coming to the XBox 360 from us yet but we have some exciting stuff in store! Stay tuned!
This lack of announcements was short-lived, however, as the studio soon also confirmed that Jurassic Park: The Game would be released for the Xbox 360 as well as the PC and PS3, though the series will ship as a boxed retail edition in the states rather than a series of downloas. We'll bring you more on the European distribution plans once we hear it. Jurassic Park was pushed back to an autumn release earlier this week in order to push its story and adventure mechanics "to the next level" - but the timing is rather interesting.
