Final Two Beta Weekends Also Dated
Funcom announced today that the release date for their upcoming MMORPG The Secret World had been pushed two weeks to July 3rd. The decision had been made “due to market reasons.”
In a post on the official website, it was explained that the move in release date would position The Secret World “in a more positive launch window which will benefit the launch of the game.” Early access to the game would be available for those who pre-order, starting on June 29th.
The post went on to detail that the remaining two beta weekends would take place. The Third beta event, titled “Hell Raised,” will take place on June 15th – 17th and will grant access to all three secret societies for the first time, having previously only allowing Templar characters to be created. Players will be able to finish the starting zone of Kingsmouth and proceed to The Savage Coast, where the dungeon “Hell Raised” will be waiting.
The Final beta event, taking place June 22nd – 24th, will focus on the Player Vs Player content. The Eldorado battlefield will be available, and players will be able to take part in the warzones where hundreds of players on each side will clash for dominance.
