Thief 4 Rebranded 'Thief', Reboot Set For 2014 on Next-Gen SystemsThe cat is out of the bag. The game formerly known as Thief 4 has been simply rebranded Thief, and heralds the return of master pilferer Garrett in 2014 in a series reboot that will debut on next-gen consoles and Windows PC.

Game Informer announced that the stealthy new game from Eidos Montreal will adorn its April 2013 cover . Here's the blurb from the website:

"Series hero Garrett returns to the Gothic, industrial metropolis known simply as the City to steal any and everything that will make him richer. Unfortunately, the City is broiling with social tension as it is ravaged by a plague and lorded over by a political tyrant known as the Baron. In order to survive his adventures, Garrett will have to pay attention to his environment and make use of the may possible paths through each of the game's levels."

I'm feeling that wonderful mixture of "that takes me back" and "oooh, looks good"!
You know, like you got with Tomb Raider and Sim City :D
