Thief vs Vampires vs Plants vs Zombies plays out in this week's charts

When it comes to a fight between Garret, a Peashooter, Dracula and a rotting cadaver wearing a traffic cone, I know who I'd put my money on. This week's charts are therefore a foregone conclusion, with Thief romping to first place on the back of impressive pre-order sales. Reviews are all over the shop, but Matt suggests that it's a good game that hinges on you picking the correct difficulty setting from the start. Meanwhile the decidedly mediocre Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 slinks in at tenth.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has also charted well, making its debut in an impressive fourth place on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Our review should be ready very soon - in short, it's good, but slightly overpriced for what it is.

Down in the this week's murky depths, bodacious 3DS brawler Senran Kagura Burst managed to secure a 38th place position, proving that sex definitely does sell. Thankfully a superb combat system makes it more than just eye candy.
