Mad for Metro...or dashboard disaster? We've got our thoughts coming soon, but we'd love to hear yours.

I was using Windows 8 last night.

All I can say is bloody apple have a lot to answer for.

Why, really, WHY, after all these years have we started dumbing down technology and interfaces? The interface is for people with an IQ lower than double figures. There is no need for it.

it would have made sense to have a really dumb-simple interface when making the transition from a command line only OS to a GUI that you were aiming to get home users on - but now?

Metro dials in with microsofts new look. But I can't use it without being disappointed that there are no giant rat like creatures trying to kill me.

As for it being an Xbox interface, yeah, it's just as meh as the last few. I'm not going to write a letter of complaint or anything, but it's pretty naff.

My account got hijacked right after installing it. Seemed like more than a coincidence to me.

It looks nice, but usability is poodh.
1.) I can't find things as easily as before.
2.) Voice commands take you so far then aren't working... e.g. playing movies via Lovefilm or off of a harddrive... I can get to the app... but then it say's voice not supported when searching.
3.) Cloud Based Saving... Great idea but now I have to spend hours moving my save games... surely a migrate feature would have been useful?
4.) Kinect Video... surely integrating skype would be good. I dont use MSN messenger.

My list gets longer and longer

As an Indie Game developer I find the new dashboard very frustrating as Indie Games are now hidden even deeper away then ever, meaning that unless you specifically go looking for them the chances of finding them are pretty remote.
