$9.99, Due 2012

Last week, we snuffed out THQ's plans to snap up Alientrap Software's updated edition of hectic arena-shooter, Nexuiz. Outed on ESRB - the American videogame ratings boards - THQ has now made it official, announcing that Nexuiz will hit PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, where it will retail for $9.99 in the US. Further pricing has yet to be revealed.

Up to eight players can participate in a match of Nexuiz, with over 100 Dynamic Mutators available on the fly to keep players on their proverbial toes. THQ has hooked up with online video content generator, Machinima, to help promote the game. Machinima's Allen DeBevoise reveals the company is "very excited" to partner up with THQ on Nexuiz, which they believe will "breathe new life into the arena-genre as a whole". Bold words, we'll just have to wait and see.
