Just spent £35 on a Titanfall beta code on eBay? Well, your Muppet of the Month award will be with you shortly. For the rest of you that missed out on registering for a Titanfall beta code in time, you'll be glad to hear that you can now download the beta from the dashboard on your Xbox One. No codes, no purchases, just head to the New Game Demos section of the Game Store. No word yet on when PC gamers can expect similar access.

So, get cracking and get involved with what's looking like the Xbox One's killer app.

FYI: the massive new influx of players is hammering the servers. Apparently a bug is stopping Xbox Live from allocating enough dedicated servers - even though the infrastructure is apparently already in place - so things are set to improve.

Do expect a few hiccups though, such as an annoying "attempting to connect" or "no servers found" screen.

Titanfall on PC is freaking awesome. Bit graphically intensive... my GTX680 rig struggles along on even basic settings but wow does it look pretty. Shame this did not make it to the PS4, what with the superior graphics processing. But MS have spent their money wisely on this exclusive. It's a lot of fun to play.

Jon: as that is the bit they are beta testing then definitely expect problems along the way. PC servers did the same thing on Friday. Worth the wait / effort though.

Oh sure, I'm having a blast - just wanted to remind people that this is a stress test as opposed to a demo that's guaranteed to work minute one.

These days, "beta" often just stands for "hype demo."

Tip: If you're having any problems with server connection, try changing your data centre to North Europe or another region.

So, are we still loving this beta? I am. Still think it's an awesome game... hope they extend the beta so I get a bit more play in.

What weapons are people using? I'm digging the smart pistol. It's a lot of fun to wait it out for the lock on a pilot trying to kill you.

@/0: They've extended it for an extra couple of days. :D

Basically loving it so far on both PC and Xbox One - all about the SMG rodeo action myself. We'll be running plenty more coverage and opinions, so will hold back until then.
