Michael Bay fans rejoice, as all the explosive, nonsensical fun of his third Transformers film is being poured into a videogame cast and unleashed alongside its cinematic sibling on June 24th. And if you're worried about suffering through yet another botched tie-in, at least Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is in safe hands, with none other than High Moon Studios, developers of the surprisingly fun War for Cybertron, are in charge.
Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is set to hit both the Xbox 360 and PS3, and the Wii and DS. And while High Moon is cranking out the next-gen versions, a separate, unannounced studio is hard at work on the Wii version, subtitled Stealth Force. And in the tradition of previous Transformers titles on Nintendo's portable, Dark of the Moon will come in two flavors, Autbot and Decepticon, ambivalence be damned!
If you're a little upset High Moon isn't charging ahead with a War for Cybertron sequel, don't fret; because they are. Hasbro is also planning to expand the Transformers MMO, which is currently restricted to the Asian market but might soon find its way West. And along with the film tie-in, the War for Cybertron sequel and a possible MMO, the future is bright and busy for Transformers. [MCVUK]
