If you're in desperate need of a Call of Duty fix, why not make do with Turning Point: Fall of Liberty for only £4.95 from TheGameCollection.Net, found by a member of HotUkDeals.
Using a price-comparison, this is the best deal you can find for Turning Point, 20% cheaper than the next lowest price, and delivery is free too! However, the video game hasn't exactly set the gaming-world on fire, receiving a meagre 42/100 on MetaCritic, and generally being lambasted as a poor-man's Call of Duty.
However, the concept for Turning Point is rather interesting. Re-imagining Winston Churchill's car-crash 1931 as fatal, the Allied forces fell to the rampaging Germans in WW2, Churchill's inspirational speeches mere echoes in time. The Germans invade America, and Dan Carson, a blue-collar construction worker, must escape the now-overrun metropolis.
Unlike most war-games, where the objective is to win the war, Turning Point is merely about survival. The odds are constantly agains you, as giant blimps and well-trained soldiers harrass you around every turn and skyscraper. The pacing and set-pieces are generally quite good, but the controls, story and general quality pale in comparison to the likes of Call of Duty.
