Ubisoft has confirmed that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will release next year on March 6th in the States, following its January beta. American retailers had suggested that might be the date, but the publisher confirmed it was true in a statement to Joystiq earlier. We can infer that this means we'll probably see a UK release on March 9th, but we've contacted Ubisoft ourselves just to be sure.
This bold move sets the futuristic third-person shooter squarely up against EA and BioWare's space opera Mass Effect 3. EA took the spring season by storm this year and now it looks as though others are following suit, which can only be a good thing. Thank god my birthday's in March!
