Ueda: Knack & Puppeteer Taking Priority Over The Last Guardian

The legendary Fumito Ueda has spoken out on The Last Guardian, which is still apparently being developed in "earnest." However, current guardians SCE Japan are apparently too busy on other projects to fully commit to the eternally-delayed exclusive.

“It’s under earnest development,” Ueda told Famitsu Magazine [via Polygon]. “However, SCE Japan Studio, who’s working on The Last Guardian, also has titles like Puppeteer and Knack, and those are only the ones currently announced. Those are taking priority right now.”

The last we heard of The Last Guardian, it was "alive and kicking," at least according to Shuhei Yoshida.

As always, the take-home message is don't hold your breath or you'll likely suffocate. It's possible that The Last Guardian might break cover at TGS 2013, but don't bank on it.

Puppeteer is out next month on PS3, while Knack will launch alongside the PS4 this November. Click the links to read our latest previews.
