Pugilist enthusiasts rejoice, as UFC Undisputed: 2010 is on sale at The Game Collection for just £29.95! But hurry, stocks may dwindle in the next couple of hours, so time is of the essence.
Tom reviewed UFC 2010 last Friday, and whilst he found the fights brutal and well-realised, the lack of overall polish and variety conspired to result in an average score of 7. But with this being the cheapest deal around, and if you're a fan of mixed martial-arts or the sport of UFC itself, then I'd plop this in your basket right now!
UFC, short for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is a mixed martial-arts sport where fighters from around the globe gather to duke it out in the infamous Octagon, an eight-sided, caged-wall ring. Karate, kick-boxing, judo and straight-up brawling are on offer for you to play around with, and you can either pick from the only 100% licensed roster of contemporary UFC combatants, or delve into the Create-A-Fighter mode and give life to your own twisted tool of destruction.
UFC Undisputed: 2010 is ultimately a game for fans. It's not attempting to be mainstream or to offer any accessible or family-friendly appeal. Effort has been invested to ensure the fights look, feel and sound like the real thing. Sweat beads on brows and trickles down muscles, which flex and bulge in lifelike fashion. The animations are superb, as limbs stretch, twist and pull in gruesome detail.
