It has taken three weeks for it to happen, but L.A. Noire has finally been knocked off the top spot in this week’s game charts in the UK. How appropriate then that the FPS King himself would be the one to do it. That’s right folks, the hotly debated Duke Nukem Forever (you only have to look as far as our comments section of Tom’s review to see the divisive opinions in flow) has claimed the crown in this week’s charts.
In other chart news, Wii Sports Resort finally fell out of the Top Ten after an impressive 98 week run. Duke wasn’t the only new release to make it into the top spots, with Red Faction: Armageddon managing 8th place, and PS3 exclusive Infamous 2 debuting in 4th, being denied a higher spot by Zumba Fitness which managed to move up one spot from last week thanks to continued strong sales on the Wii. Elsewhere, DiRT 3 and Brink continued to slide down in 6th and 7th respectively, LEGO Pirates dropped down to 5th, Call of Duty: Black Ops fell two places after last week’s slight rise, and Portal 2 now balances on the edge of the Top ten by falling one place to 10th.
