UK Games Charts | 13th October 2012

FIFA 13 still reigns supreme this week, fending off some stiff challenges from the terrifically impressive Dishonored and XCOM:Enemy Unknown, the former of which set the bar for the biggest new IP launch of 2012. A 78% drop in sales see Resident Evil 6 fall to fourth, with Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 sandwiching Capcom's divisive action-horror return in third and fifth respectively. MCV reports that even if the numbers for the two Pokemon titles were combined, they still wouldn't have dislodged Dishonored.

It was a disappointing debut for Fable: The Journey, though, but being a Kinect-only game that makes you feel like your arm might fall off, that was perhaps to be expected. You can read the chronicles of Jon's physical torture at the hands of Lionhead's latest in his review here.

Good to see new IP performing strongly. It's a shame XCOM isn't higher but it's expected with it being a turn based strategy going up against big names like Resi and Pokemon.
