As expected, Black Ops II has held the top spot for a fifth consecutive week, with Agent 47 quietly garotting his way into second place. Otherwise, the chart remains full of the same old faces we saw last week.
Once again, it's worth noting that exclusive Wii U software is barely making a dent in the top 40. ZombiU and New Super Mario Bros. U have disappeared completely, while Nintendo Land clings to life in 39th place under the appalling 007 Legends. Doubtlessly Wii U sales figures have been factored into multiplatform ports like Just Dance 4 and Assassin's Creed III, but even so, it's a seriously worrying situation for the new console. Perhaps stock shortages, the lack of a true killer app (despite ZombiU being amazing) and a weak marketing campaign need to be addressed over the coming months. The Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends can't come soon enough.
In better news for Nintendo, 3DS titles are selling well and populating the lower echelons of the chart, due in part to the competitively-priced 3DS XL topping several Christmas lists.
