EA must be pretty chuffed with themselves right about now. The UK chart is dominated by their titles, with the newly-released FIFA Street managing to dribble and trick its way above Mass Effect 3 for the top spot. Colour us surprised, but with the furore surrounding BioWare's controversial ending, we wouldn't be surprised if a few potential buyers are holding off. Just to cement EA's victory, the critically-acclaimed SSX and FIFA 12 have secured 3rd and 4th place respectively.
Elsewhere, the same old faces are jostling for market position, and there's nothing particularly new to report save id Software's RAGE making a surprise recurrence. However, it's much more interesting to note that GAME aren't stocking four of the top five titles, which is a worrying suggestion that the retailer may not be as important to UK retail as many currently believe.
As always, we've got the full chart below, and a FIFA Street review in the pipeline.
