UK Games Charts | 1st September 2012

Here comes a new challenger. Despite Sleeping Dogs still deservedly selling very well indeed, Guild Wars 2 has romped into the top spot in its first week. It's the second-largest non-WoW MMO launch ever, clocking in behind SWTOR. Carl will be bringing us an episodic look at the anticipated sequel, which started last week.

Elsewhere, Darksiders II is slowly sliding down the rankings, with Brendan suggesting that it isn't quite as vast an improvement as we'd previously hoped. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and the Olympics tie-in are still hanging on, and Modern Warfare 3 has steamed seven places up the charts to return to the top ten.
