UK Games Charts | 21st July 2012

Holy games charts, Batman! TT Games are back on top for a fifth straight week, demonstrating that their charming and nostalgic LEGO games really are fun for absolutely everyone. Otherwise, the chart consists of the same old faces: Olympic tie-ins, Ghost Recon, The Amazing Spider-Man, Kingdom Hearts 3D...

... hold up. We have a new challenger. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance has finally hit the 3DS, and is charting rather nicely indeed.

And, wait, where's FIFA 12? For the first time in what seems like decades, EA's footy sim has slipped off of the top ten, languishing down in twelfth place. Perhaps, now that the Euros are over, gamers are more excited about the Olympics... and Batman? LEGO Batman isn't the only licensed caped crusader tie-in on the list, with Arkham City skyrocketing back into contention in the wake of Nolan's new film.

As always, we have the full UK Top Ten below along with links to our reviews where available.

  1. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (1)
  2. London 2012: The Official Video Game (2)
  3. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (5)
  4. The Amazing Spider-man (3)
  5. Modern Warfare 3 (6)
  6. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (new)
  7. Batman: Arkham City
  8. Mario & Sonic: London 2012 Olympics (10)
  9. Max Payne 3
  10. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (6)

Compiled by Chart Track and UKIE.

Yep, LEGO Batman 2 is still on top, even though it didn't hit the top 10 games of the year on this very site. Brilliant game.
