Call of Duty: Black Ops | Portal 2

UK Games Charts | 26th April 2011

Let's face it: Portal 2 was always going to hit the top spot this week. Despite whiny griefers laying into Valve's epic puzzler on Metacritic and the like, Portal 2 has secured the coveted first place and shifted enormous numbers of units over the last few days on all platforms. We awarded it 10/10 in our full review, and fully believe that it deserves your money.

Mortal Kombat has entered the chart at a solid number 2 - and managed to fully justify our excitement over the last few months. NetherRealm have crafted a solid and meaty brawler, and all the bloody murder we expect from the series. We gave it 8/10.

Call of Duty: Black Ops (or Blops as we tend to call it now) is back in the charts at number 3, which is likely due to a number of price promotions throughout the week as well as increased publicity surrounding it becoming the best selling entertainment product of the year (outselling the likes of Toy Story 3 and Avatar in terms of raw numbers as well as profits). The new TV campaign also couldn't have hurt.

Elsewhere, the same old faces are vying for position, with Zumba Fitness still outselling Crysis 2, FIFA 11 and Homefront.

We've got the whole chart for your perusal below.
