UK Games Charts | 27th April 2013

All change please. In one of the most disruptive weeks we've seen in ages, no less than four new titles have stormed onto the UK charts, three of which grace the top five.

Chief amongst them is Dead Island: Riptide, which demonstrates that shock and awe marketing can work wonders, and suggests that many of us critics might be a little out of touch. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has risen to third place in its opening week, an amazing feat considering the minimum of publicity. I'm working on a review as you read this. Elsewhere we have the new Star Trek tie-in, which is widely considered to be complete toss, and the 3DS Lego City Undercover companion game getting better first-week chart position than its Wii U counterpart.

We've got it all below.

UK Charts: Week Ending 27th April, 2013 (previous chart position in parentheses, links to reviews where appropriate)

  1. Dead Island: Riptide (new)
  2. Injustice: Gods Among Us (1)
  3. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (new)
  4. Star Trek (new)
  5. Tomb Raider (4)
  6. BioShock Infinite (2)
  7. FIFA 13 (6)
