And this week's winner is...Prototype 2. Activision and Radical Entertainment have knocked The Witcher 2 from the top spot with a fine showing on release from their sequel to 2009's mass-murder simulator. Prototype 2 recorded greater launch sales than Kinect Star Wars and The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition, though it should be noted that those two games were platform exclusives (PC sales of the latter counting for less than 2%), but failed to match those of the original game despite a Tuesday global release.

The usual suspects make up the rest of the top five, with CD Projekt RED's critically acclaimed RPG slipping to 6th.
