Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Preorder £34.99 @ HMV [PS3 Games]

Shop To have put their preorder price for Uncharted 2 up to £37.85 meaning that HMV and Amazon are now neck and neck with the best deal for the game, at £34.99 (after that the price goes up to £36.95 at My Memory). However, HMV are sweetening their deal in a novel way by offering a code that, for an unspecified length of time, allows you to unlock the "Currency Multiplier" which means that you can gain currency and unlock bonuses faster than anyone else (assuming that everyone doesn't go for this, that is) when playing multiplayer. All sounds a bit unfair and smacks of cheating to me but I can see why it might be appealing. The multiplayer competition is apparently excellent and highly addictive so any way to give yourself a good head will probably be highly desirable.

Once again Nathan Drake finds himself in the grips of a perilous adventure as he heads off to uncover an ancient artifact, rumoured to hold incredible powers. The storyline sounds as archaic as the artifact itself but is apparently highly enjoyable and capable of holding your interest throughout.

Among Thieves is gaining excellent reviews all over the place. The gameplay is much the same as in Drake's previous adventure but everything has been nicely refined and improved making for an even more enjoyable experience. The graphics are fantastic, bringing the numerous environments of Drake's journey to life beautifully, while nice character models and great voice-acting flesh out the cast. It's games like this that are finally making the PS3 a must have console.

£34.99 for a PS3 game (even if it is a new one)? Hardly deal of the century is it? Wouldn't even call it a deal-of-the-day myself.

Well, if people want to get the game as soon as it comes out then, of course, it's going to be expensive but that doesn't mean they shouldn't go for the best deal that they can. & as i said in the post, this particular offer is as much about the bonus Currency Multiplayer as how much it's selling for anyway.

Tescos is much cheaper. £35 after discount code, £1 quidco and £10.80 in clubcard vouchers so about £23 delivered

Dean, we really cannot count Tesco clubcard vouchers into the amounts we show here.

This is the cheapest I've seen so it is a deal.

Early adopters always big more, and this is a must have game for majority of PS3 owners. I'm forking out £45 for the special edition on game.co.uk. annoyingly it was £39.99 for ages till I decided to order!
