Uncharted 3 Single-Player DLC Not On The Cards

Next Game The Priority For Naughty Dog

We're less than a month away from Uncharted 3 now, with work on the game completed and discs in the process of being stamped, boxed and dispatched to retailers. However, don't expect Naughty Dog to sit back and soak up the glory of Nathan Drake's third outing, with the team chomping at the bit to begin work on their next big thing. The catch? Well, the team is so small, they can't afford to spare resources to build single-player DLC for UC3 fans.

"Whenever we sit down and think we should do some single-player DLC, someone pitches something and we realize - that's a five hour level," reveals Naughty Dog's Justin Richmond, game director for the Uncharted series. "We'd rather build out another game than we would do episodic content."

Richmond explains that Naughty Dog is "so small" that they simply "can't afford to have a whole team working on DLC". "We'd much rather be working on the next game," he went on, "producing the game quickly and having people play another adventure." Uncharted fans needn't worry too much; I'm sure Naughty Dog will be releasing a bunch of multiplayer DLC packs. [Eurogamer]

Nice to hear that for a change, and you know U3 is going to be super polished anyway. When you are telling a story, it seems cheap to tack on more content afterwords. Let DLC be for weapons, skins and maps.
