… And There’s STILL Time Left

A quick update before our round-up this evening: As of 10:30 this morning, upcoming space combat sim Star Citizen has broken through the final target tier, unlocking the ability for players to own the Bengal Carrier (although it has been confirmed that you won’t be able to buy it, you’ll have to capture one with friends while in deep space.)

We’ll be back later on today with the final result, but in the meantime we have early test footage of the spaceport that was featured in the first piece of concept art for Star Citizen. See it in all its shiny glory above.

Decided to take the plunge at long last (signed up for golden ticket via this site a long time ago!). Just hoping its almost as good as freespace 2!

@Phil16: If I'm honest, I doubt it will have the same brooding darkness that made Freespace such an intense game, but I have the utmost confidence in Roberts and the team at Cloud Imperium delivering exciting and satisfying space combat mechanics.

That, and we'll be able to have bobbleheads on our dashboards, which was obviously the #1 reason all that money has been raised.
