Sometimes it can be difficult to explain just how massively popular some social games are. In the case of Spil Games' absurdly magnetic Uphill Racing series that won't be a problem. To mark the release of their fourth title Uphill Rush 4, Spil have lifted the lid on a few stats from the series' history. To date, the Uphill Rush series has been played over 600 million times.
Frankly we think it's probably because who doesn't want to see a geisha girl on a sheep racing a sumo wrestler riding a dolphin? And let's not forget the awesome metal-riffic menu music. Seriously, I've just had it on loop for half an hour.
Uphill Rush 4 retains the tried and tested formula that’s made the series a success, while introducing a host of new features:
- New racers: sheep, dolphin and bull
- New worlds: amusement park, tropical city, hotel
- New outfits: clown, sumo wrestlers, geisha
- New physics: players can now smash through walls and destroy all sorts of in-game objects
