Vita Cross Control Headed To LittleBigPlanet In DLC Pack

Media Molecule has announced that Vita cross-control will be added to LittleBigPlanet via a DLC pack, allowing us to use the handheld console as a controller. Players will be able to use the Vita's myriad input methods pad in-game and design levels built around the new features. As an example, you can pick up blocks or turn cogs using the touchscreen, push elements into the screen with the backpad, activate a gyroscopic X-Ray scanner or even transfer Sackboy onto the handheld during certain sections.

Media Molecule believes that this will provide gamers with an entirely new experience, as well as local multiplayer opportunities.

Get used to it. I'm expecting to see loads of this with xbox and android devices soon.

This is sweet!

PSP has had this kind of feature with PS3 since 2006 (yep, Sony made this type of gameplay ages ago!), but with the VITA Sony is taking it to a whole different level and I can't wait to see a bit more.

It is so great to see the contributions Sony has made to the gaming industry take shape after just PSP and PS3. As I said, can't wait to see what Playstation can offer in the near future. :)

Employee or fanboy?

Good question. My snap decision was fanboy, but you're correct, it could be either.

Employees are rarely as enthusiastic or blatant.

Definitely fanboy.

Probably.

I wouldn't have put it past somebody on work experience in the marketing department though
