While the male Commander Shepard has the chiseled good looks of real-life Dutch model, Mark Vanderloo, his female counterpart players could opt for sort of resembled a genetic experiment gone awry. Tinkering with the facial sliders helped, but it still resulted in a fair few painful cringes when they popped up in dialogue close-ups. That's all about to change now, however, as Bioware is hosting a competition wherein you vote for six pre-designed Femsheps, with the winning candidate making it into the game proper.
The new Femsheps appear to have been hand-crafted by Bioware themselves, with none of the crude, ugly features of past iterations. They're beautiful, but deadly-looking, too; all glowering sexiness with ridiculously well-kept hair. In order to vote for your favorite Femshep, head on over to the Mass Effect 3 Facebook page, where you can pore over each candidate and 'Like' your choice.
No word on when Bioware will announce the winner, but you can already get an idea of who's ahead and who's lagging behind, with official stats available for all to see. We'll keep you posted on which Femshep makes it in. [Facebook]
