First it was tanks. Then it was warplanes. Wargaming.net are carving out a niche for themselves in the free-to-play arena with addictive and authentic vehicular sims... and apparently the trilogy has now reached its logical conclusion with World Of Battleships. As you'd expect, WoB will focus on the major naval battles of the 20th century and allow resources to be shared between all three games. It's an exciting idea - and we have the full details and screens after the break.
World of Battleships will reportedly offer a straightforward interface, easy-to-use controls, and a common economic system that will allow players to distribute resources between the three Wargaming.net games. This should provide a major new addiction factor as well as an incentive to get one's feet wet.
The large assortment of available warships will offer "various tactical opportunities," as all the boats boast a unique combination of firepower, speed, armor, and endurance. Various naval maps with changing weather conditions and "realistic graphics will transport players into the epic battles that changed the course of human history."
Humans always needed to conquer the elements — earth, water and air. With World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships we will offer players to conquer all, simultaneously. - Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi
