According to Just Push Start, the oft-rumored Warhawk 2 - speculated to be titled Starhawk - has been entertaining its first players, with a select group of regular users from the original game invited to sample an early build. And they've been kind enough to let slip with some tantalizing deets! So what can we expect from? Maybe a story mode with co-op support? 25 maps? 35 players?
So, whilst the original Warhawk - which endured a torrid development - launched with no single-player mode, the sequel is supposedly boasting a fully-featured campaign with co-op support. An interesting choice, especially when Warhawk ended up forging a personality all of its own purely on the basis of its excellent multiplayer offering.
And what of the multiplayer? Well, it'll support up to 32 players across 25 maps, which is a brilliant bullet-point for the back of the box. It'll also feature a variety of military vehicles, from tanks to to motorcycles, not to mention series' stalwart, the Warhawks themselves. The graphics have apparently been improved, and the combat system is being tweaked to support better camera angles.
All in all, some very interesting and authentic stuff. An E3 reveal is almost certainly on the cards. [Just Push Start]
