Watch Dogs date drop imminent as PSN teases June launch

Having forced us to sit through several nervy months of delays, Watch Dogs is set to reveal its release date very soon by way of a new trailer.

We won't have long to wait... but if you're desperate for new info, you might be interested in an intriguing little slip on the PSN Store.

The downloadable PSN listing is currently slated to roll out on June 30th, which would mean only four more months to wait for the anticipated hacking sandbox if correct. [via PixelGamerUK]

Watch Dogs date drop imminent as PSN teases June launch

This date is almost certainly a placeholder, seeing as the 30th falls on a Monday (not a traditional day for videogames to launch in any territory). However, it ties in nicely with a company statement made last month, wherein Ubisoft teased a Q1 2014 release... i.e. before the end of June. The 30th will be cutting it fine, but as far as Watch Dogs is concerned, any news is good news.

We'll keep an eye out for the trailer drop, which should be happening very soon indeed. Until then, be sure to check out our comprehensive coverage, since I've already previewed a production buildinterviewed the developers and even tested out the companion app for your reading pleasure.

Wii U owners should be aware that the Wii U port won't release alongside the other versions, instead suffering an additional delay. More as we hear it.
