Watch Dogs Revealed As Ubisoft’s New IP

Hack The World

Well, that was unexpected. As the final part of their press conference at this year’s E3, Ubisoft unveiled their newest IP, Watch Dogs. Using the concept of everything being connected and the power of a person’s digital footprint, players will be able to hack anything to achieve their goals in an open world environment. We have the full 9 minute reveal trailer after the jump, and we insist you watch it.

Like, right now.

The official website is now up, and eagle-eyed viewers even discovered that the QR code that appears in the trailer leads to a viral website of the club featured in the demo. So far we only have the trailer to go on, but the fact we should be able to dig up dirt on anyone, hack traffic lights to cause crashes, hear the pleas of pedestrians, cause blackouts, and even more, has us rather excited. No word on what platforms Watch Dogs will appear on as of yet, but we’ll be sure to update you on any further reveals as we come across them.

Looks very cool - glad to see the big players are still waiting to take chances on intelligent, AAA new IPs.
