Waves, the gorgeous Unreal powered shooter from one-man developer Squid In A Box, succeeded in turning a lot of heads at this year's Eurogamer Expo. Despite being squirrelled away at the fringe of the Indie Arcade, its wireframe graphics and insane action tore our attention away from the flashier triple-A releases. You can pore through our hands-on preview for more info or hit up the demo.
Developer Rob Hale has confirmed to us that Waves will be launching on November 16th via Steam, which was later than intended due to the October UDK update and the looming titans of Battlefield 3, Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3. It will set you back £6.99 - or $9.99 for our readers over the pond. I'm currently playing through a near-final build, and will pass final judgement nearer the time. Spoiler alert: it rocks.
