Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine's cooperative mode has been the subject of fierce debate and conjecture over the last few months, with THQ insisting that the feature wouldn't be available at launch, but instead hitting as free DLC down the line. Finally, however, THQ has decided to part with the details.
The Cooperative Mode, called Exterminatus, is essentially a horde-style survival experience that will pit up to four players against progressive waves of enemies. We're a little disappointed about the lack of campaign co-op to be honest (cop out much?), but we're thrilled that the mode will be free* when it launches in October as a DLC update.
*According to our previous intel, the pack will be free for those who buy a new copy of the game - but will need to be purchased by pre-owned consumers.
